Marvel has just unveiled the trailer for Punisher: One Last Kill, and here’s all the essential information you need.

Marvel Television has just released the first trailer for The Punisher: One Last Kill, which is as intense as one would anticipate from a character who has never shied away from danger.

Jon Bernthal reprises his role as Frank Castle this month on Disney+, and the trailer indicates he is carrying a significant emotional burden going into this installment.

The official synopsis portrays Frank as someone who “seeks meaning beyond revenge, when an unforeseen force draws him back into the fray.” This is all the information Marvel is disclosing for now.

A breakdown of the Punisher: One Last Kill trailer suggests a major villain reveal.

The trailer begins with Frank in a raw, vulnerable condition, clearly grappling with his past. His old friend Curtis Hoyle appears, attempting to encourage Frank to discuss what he’s experiencing.

The way Curtis flickers in and out of the scene leaves his exact situation somewhat uncertain, although he survived the events of the Netflix Punisher series and is presumed to be alive.

Frank is depicted in isolation, sitting in what looks like a secured environment surrounded by guards, implying he may be in custody or under observation at some point in the narrative.

The trailer then transitions through a series of gripping moments. Flashback scenes reveal Frank’s young daughter in their family home, revisiting the tragedy that set him on the path to becoming the Punisher.

Additionally, there is a scene showing Frank leaving a red flower at a grave marked for Lisa Barbara, his daughter, with a watch resting on the headstone beside it. These are the first glimpses of Frank’s family in years within this version of the character’s narrative. Curtis’s voiceover cuts through these moments with a stark warning, telling Frank he stands no chance against what awaits him.

From that point, the trailer dives into full Punisher action. Frank battles enemies with high-powered weapons and sheer brute force, leaping from buildings and shooting through anyone in his way.

The trailer’s final image is what fans have been eagerly anticipating. Frank stands in his complete Punisher attire and skull vest outside a location known as Gnucci’s Restaurant. This detail is not a coincidence, as the villain in Punisher: One Last Kill is likely Ma Gnucci.

For those unfamiliar with the Punisher comics, Ma Gnucci is one of Frank Castle’s most notable foes. She is portrayed as the ruthless leader of the Gnucci crime family, a formidable organized crime figure operating out of New York City.

After Frank kills her sons, she declares war on him, launching one of the most chaotic and violent storylines in Punisher history. She is also significant for being depicted in a wheelchair, which although makes her physically vulnerable, does not lessen her danger.

Her readiness to unleash her entire criminal empire against Frank makes her a potent and personal threat. As of now, no actor has been assigned to the role, but the Gnucci’s Restaurant sign in the trailer’s final shot suggests her involvement is highly likely.

Jon Bernthal stars as Frank Castle, a role he began in the Netflix Daredevil series before leading his own two-season Punisher series. Joining him is Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Frank’s closest friend and a former US Navy personnel.

Curtis appeared in both seasons of the original Netflix Punisher series, and his return here adds crucial emotional continuity to the story. The special is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who co-wrote the script with Bernthal. Jon Bernthal also serves as an executive producer on this project.

The Punisher: One Last Kill will premiere on Disney+ on May 12, 2026, at 6 p.m. PT and 9 p.m. ET. The special presentation arrives one week after the finale of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

This is not the last you will see of Frank Castle this year. The Punisher is expected to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures collaboration set to release on July 31, 2026.

It remains unclear whether Frank will play a significant role or act as a supporting character in Spider-Man BND. However, the possibility of the Punisher and Spider-Man coexisting in the same story is genuinely thrilling, and after witnessing what One Last Kill seems to be establishing, I am eagerly anticipating the outcome.
