Paladin purchases ICT in a €60 million effort to lead the European ITAD market.

In summary: Paladin EnviroTech has acquired ICT, the first R2v3-certified ITAD provider in Ireland, completing a $70 million acquisition spree over nine months that now extends across the U.S., Netherlands, and Ireland. This positions the company to manage the increasing demand for hardware disposal from Dublin's dense cluster of hyperscale data centers. When the servers supporting Europe’s cloud services reach the end of their operational life, it is essential to manage their disposal securely and compliantly while safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring valuable materials are not wasted. This task, which is unglamorous, operationally intensive, and increasingly regulated, is the market Paladin EnviroTech is eager to dominate. On April 7, 2026, the Tampa-based company announced its acquisition of ICT, bringing its total investment across five acquisitions in nine months to $70 million (€60 million).

“ICT is a reputable legacy organization in the ITAD sector, known for managing operations in-house, maintaining control of chain-of-custody, and adhering to the highest standards for secure data destruction,” stated Brian Diesselhorst, CEO of Paladin. “This acquisition enhances our support for customers in Dublin, recognized as the EU’s ‘data center capital’, and throughout Ireland, with consistent execution and certified results, thereby expanding our on-site shredding and secure handling capabilities in the region.”

A Gateway to Europe for Ireland's ITAD

Founded in Dublin in 2003, ICT has spent over twenty years developing operational infrastructure recognized by certification bodies and trusted by regulators. In just the past year, the company has processed over 2,000 tonnes of end-of-life electronics and securely shredded more than 500,000 data-bearing devices. Its R2v3 certification, the first awarded to any Irish ITAD provider, is supported by independent audits aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, which pertain to quality, environmental management, and occupational health respectively. The company complies with EU regulations on cross-border waste shipment and collaborates closely with Ireland's National Transfrontier Shipment Office.

What sets ICT apart operationally is its dedication to in-house processing. With its mobile, on-site data destruction capability provided via a specially designed shredding vehicle equipped with industrial-grade systems, clients can avoid entrusting drives to third parties before they are destroyed. This model spans its entire service portfolio: IT asset remarketing, certified destruction, electronics recycling, data center decommissioning, secure logistics, and ESG-aligned reporting. Following the acquisition, ICT is anticipated to transition to the Paladin brand and relocate to a newly-leased 52,000 square foot processing facility in Dublin.

“ICT has always prioritized trust, control, and executing ITAD correctly," remarked Eva Warren, CEO of ICT. “In a time when risks related to data and material loss are rising, a security-first approach is vital. Paladin shares this operational discipline and commitment to maintaining full chain-of-custody. Together, we are establishing a model where organizations do not have to choose between security, compliance, and sustainability; we can provide all three, at scale, throughout Ireland, the UK, and Europe.”

      A Rapidly Developed Platform

The ICT acquisition marks the fifth deal Paladin has finalized since its formal launch in July 2025 by SER Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on sustainability that aims to support businesses creating measurable environmental impacts alongside financial returns. The initial acquisitions included Integrated Recycling Technologies (IRT), one of the largest ITAD processors in the Midwest, located in Minnesota, and TechSmart International, an e-waste recycling venture based in Florida. South Korea’s Daeheung M&T, an expert in the middle-market e-waste sector with three decades of supply chain experience, made a minority investment alongside SER while contributing technical expertise and market access.

Paladin quickly pursued European expansion. In January 2026, it acquired R&L Recycling BV in the Netherlands, a 129,000 square foot facility in Helmond, establishing its first European base to serve OEM and hyperscale clients under EU regulatory frameworks. A satellite facility in Laurel, Maryland, opened in February 2026 to cater to the Washington D.C. area, densely populated with federal agencies and defense contractors requiring stringent data security protocols. With the inclusion of ICT, Paladin completes its transatlantic network, mirroring the geographic expansion of its targeted hyperscale clients. This rapid development is part of the larger trend of AI infrastructure investment that is transforming the technology supply chain, as demand for cloud and computing capacity grows faster than systems to ensure responsible retirement.

      Why Dublin, and Why Now

Dublin hosts one of the most concentrated data center markets globally. It houses more than half of Europe’s colocation capacity, with hyperscale segments accounting for 61.7% of the total market as of 2025. This concentration arises from Ireland's favorable tax policies, transatlantic cable
