AirHub secures €4.4M funding from Keen Venture Partners to expand its drone operations software.

The Dutch company, established in 2016, has increased its funding from a €1M seed in 2024 to a €4.4M follow-on, as government and security operators expedite drone fleet deployments throughout Europe and the Middle East. AirHub, a software company specializing in drone operations from the Netherlands, has secured €4.4M in a new funding round led by Keen Venture Partners. Their software is utilized by governmental and public safety agencies, including Dubai Police and the Belgian Federal Police, to facilitate the planning, management, and monitoring of drone fleet operations.

Headquartered in the Netherlands, AirHub has been providing the operations management framework for drone deployments in areas such as security, critical infrastructure inspection, and emergency response since its inception in 2016. This recent funding follows a €1 million seed round completed in April 2024 from LUMO Labs and Lumaux, marking the company’s initial external investment after eight years of self-funded growth.

This capital infusion allowed AirHub to enhance its presence in Europe and start expanding into the Middle East, Asia, and South America. The latest funding round signifies a considerable increase in scale, indicating that the company has established commercial traction within its primary government and security sectors since the seed round conclusion.

AirHub’s platform addresses the operational complexities that challenge large-scale drone fleet management, covering aspects such as flight planning, simultaneous live streaming from multiple aircraft, compliance with airspace regulations, maintenance scheduling, fleet tracking, incident reporting, and checklist management, all accessible from a single dashboard and through mobile applications for iOS, Android, and DJI Smart Controllers. The platform can also be installed on an organization’s own servers, a necessity for public safety and critical infrastructure clients operating in regulated or sensitive settings. The company is co-led by Stephan van Vuren and Thomas Brinkman, both of whom bring experience as commercial airline pilots and drone operators.
