AirHub secures €4.4M investment from Keen Venture Partners to expand its drone operations software.

The Dutch firm, established in 2016, has expanded from a €1 million seed investment in 2024 to a €4.4 million follow-on round, as government and security entities ramp up drone fleet operations throughout Europe and the Middle East. AirHub, which specializes in drone operations software, has secured €4.4 million in a new funding round led by Keen Venture Partners. Its software is utilized by public safety and governmental organizations, including the Dubai Police and the Belgian Federal Police, to plan, manage, and oversee drone fleet activities.

Based in the Netherlands, AirHub offers the operational management layer essential for deploying drones in security, critical infrastructure assessment, and emergency response. The recent funding comes on the heels of a €1 million seed round that was completed in April 2024, marking the company's initial external investment after eight years of organic growth.

This funding allowed AirHub to enhance its presence in Europe and start expanding into the Middle East, Asia, and South America. The new investment round signifies a considerable increase in scale, indicating that the company has gained commercial traction in its primary government and security sectors since closing its seed funding.

AirHub’s platform addresses the operational intricacies that complicate large-scale drone fleet management. It encompasses flight planning, simultaneous live streaming from multiple aircraft, compliance with airspace regulations, scheduling of maintenance, tracking fleets, reporting incidents, and managing checklists, all accessible from a unified dashboard and through mobile applications compatible with iOS, Android, and DJI Smart Controllers.

The platform can be implemented on an organization’s own servers, a necessity for public safety and critical infrastructure clients working within regulated or sensitive environments. The company is jointly led by Stephan van Vuren and Thomas Brinkman, who both have experience as commercial airline pilots and drone operators.
