Apple is finally allowing iPhones to embrace a variety of colors.

      The iPhone 17 Pro series introduced a noticeable design change, and it appears that Apple plans to continue in this direction. The same design style is anticipated to extend to the iPhone 18 Pro line. However, there may be some changes in the color range. Rumors indicate that the 18 Pro series could feature a more vibrant and playful color palette, which would be a rejuvenating shift. It’s genuinely thrilling to imagine that Apple might finally embrace a more relaxed approach and inject some fun into their designs.

      A colorful update with unexpected elements

      I have to say, the Maroon color looks absolutely stunning based on the images we've seen so far. If it looks as good in person, it could easily become my favorite choice. It’s one of those shades that feels fresh without being overly flashy, and it’s high time Apple experimented a bit more in this area.

      In addition to the new colors, several intriguing design modifications are rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Reports suggest that the Dynamic Island could shrink, with adjustments primarily focusing on the left side where the TrueDepth camera and Face ID sensors are located. If this occurs, it could result in a slightly cleaner and less intrusive appearance on the front. There is also speculation about Apple potentially moving Face ID beneath the display, which would represent a significant change. However, this aspect remains very much unconfirmed, so it’s wise to take it with a grain of skepticism for now.

      The gradual Apple strategy

      To be frank, these Apple changes aren't particularly revolutionary. There’s often a feeling that the company has the capacity for much more, yet year after year, it opts for smaller, more calculated updates, reserving significant transformations for later. This slow-burn strategy has become quite characteristic of the brand.

      Not everyone is pleased with this approach. Some individuals find it frustrating and wish Apple would take bigger risks. Others prefer the status quo and don’t want their iPhones to change significantly. This balancing act is likely why Apple moves at this speed. It maintains familiarity while making just enough adjustments to feel new, or at least that's one interpretation. Regardless, there remains a bit of excitement each year. You can never quite predict which minor adjustment might lead to a noticeable enhancement in daily use. Personally, I’m eager to see how everything comes together this time. If the updates feel substantial enough, I might even consider upgrading from an iPhone 17 to one of the newer Pro models.
