The Mac Pro has been removed from Apple's primary store, but there is a diminishing supply of certified refurbished units, providing professionals with one last opportunity to purchase directly from Apple.
On March 26, 2026, Apple announced the discontinuation of the Mac Pro. The system is no longer available on the company's website, at least not in its previous location. In my opinion, this is a lackluster farewell for a machine that once epitomized professional computing.
The product page now redirects to the general Mac homepage. However, if you’re willing to consider a used model, you can still find some options. As of the time of this article, Apple's Certified Refurbished store has 17 units discreetly listed for purchase, including both tower-style desktops and rack-mount configurations.

Is it still possible to acquire a Mac Pro?
The most affordable used Mac Pro (tower-style) is priced at $6,289.00, featuring the M2 Ultra chip with a 24-core CPU and 60-core GPU. There is another rack-mount version with the same chip, but equipped with a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU, available for $8,239.00.
The priciest option exceeds $10,000 for a tower-style unit that also has the M2 Ultra chip, with a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU.
While none of these options are inexpensive, for professionals specifically seeking straightforward PCIe expansion—something the Mac Studio cannot replicate—this may be the final chance to purchase one directly from Apple.

The refurbished unit comes with Apple’s one-year warranty
Each device is backed by Apple's standard one-year limited warranty, identical to what is provided for new devices. For added assurance, you can opt to include AppleCare+ or AppleCare One coverage during the checkout process. A 14-day return policy and free delivery are also included.
In my honest opinion, Apple's refurbished stock is unlikely to last long. Once these units are gone, Apple has clearly stated that there will be no more available. The company has already confirmed that it has no plans to release future Mac Pro hardware.
If you’ve always wanted a Mac Pro and don’t mind a refurbished version from Apple, this is likely your last chance to acquire one.

Recent tests of the M5 MacBook Pro indicate Apple is nearing a solution to its most significant shortcoming.
For years, Macs have faced a notable weakness: gaming. However, with the new M5 MacBook Pro, Apple might finally be making strides to remedy that, or at least circumvent it. Recent evaluations by Andrew Tsai reveal that the M5 Max MacBook Pro can effectively run a variety of AAA Windows games smoothly, even through emulation layers like CrossOver. Titles such as Horizon Forbidden West and Black Myth: Wukong were tested, and while not every game performed flawlessly, most ran "superbly" despite not being designed for macOS. This is quite impressive considering these are Windows games operating on an ARM-based Mac through translation.

Don't attempt this $3 app that makes your MacBook react, but I know you're curious.
This ridiculous $3 Mac app went viral for all the wrong reasons.
There are helpful apps, some that serve no purpose, and then there’s SlapMac, which occupies a category of its own.
This app has gained viral attention online for one very absurd (and entertaining) reason: it plays sound effects when you slap your MacBook. Simply give your Mac a light smack, and you can hear it moan, fart, or throw punches. The app developer reportedly earned $5,000 in just three days, which adds to the absurdity of the situation.

Apple’s outrageous $700 wheels for its desktop PC are gone for good.
The $700 Apple wheels are no more, and the ridiculous tech accessories have met their end.
Apple has officially terminated the Mac Pro, and consequently, the $700 Mac Pro Wheels Kit is also discontinued.
Yes, even in 2026, that sentence remains humorous. This marks the conclusion of one of the company's most notorious desktop add-ons. For those who missed this saga, the Wheels Kit was launched in 2020 as an upgrade for the Mac Pro. It allowed you to add wheels for $400, but purchasing the standalone kit later cost an eye-watering $700 since the base model already included standard feet. Apple also offered a separate $300 Feet Kit for those who wanted to revert back.
