ASUS NUC 16 Pro boasts impressive specifications in a compact design
The ASUS NUC 16 Pro Mini PC has officially launched following its reveal earlier this year. One of the mid-tier models is currently available for purchase online. This version features Intel’s Panther Lake processor, marking a considerable enhancement compared to prior NUC versions.
Robust hardware in a compact unit
The mini PC was first introduced at CES 2026, showcasing powerful specifications. The currently available model comes equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 365H processor. It supports up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM via two SO-DIMM slots, an unusually high capacity for such a small system. Additionally, storage can be expanded with two M.2 SSD slots, allowing for a total of up to 16TB.
One slot accommodates PCIe Gen 5 x4 SSDs, while the other uses PCIe Gen 4 x4. This model also utilizes Intel Graphics Xe3 for integrated graphics. Higher-end versions that include Intel Core Ultra X-series processors are paired with Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics. Despite its compact size, the ASUS NUC 16 Pro Mini PC offers extensive connectivity options.
Connectivity features of the NUC 16 Pro
It is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, dual 2.5Gb Ethernet ports, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, and various display outputs, making it ideal for productivity environments or compact workstation setups. Mini PCs have gained significant popularity in recent years, providing desktop-level performance in a small chassis that can fit almost anywhere. Currently, the ASUS NUC 16 Pro is listed on Newegg for $999. Note that this is a barebone mini PC, so memory and storage are not included.
