Nvidia GeForce Now will be available on your Fire TV Stick later this year.
Nvidia is also developing a native Linux application.
Nvidia is set to launch its GeForce Now cloud gaming service on Amazon Fire TV devices through a new native app. This was announced at CES, and the app will allow GeForce Now subscribers to access their PC game libraries on their television, enabling them to enjoy their favorite games on a larger screen without the need for specialized gaming equipment.
According to Nvidia, the app will initially be available on select Fire TV sticks, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2nd Gen) and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen). It is expected to be rolled out later this year in all regions where GeForce Now and compatible Fire TV sticks are accessible, offering gamers worldwide a fresh way to experience PC-quality gaming at home.
GeForce Now on Fire TV will support controllers and feature a user-friendly interface, allowing users to dive into games with minimal configuration. In addition to the Fire TV app, Nvidia has also introduced a GeForce Now app for Linux, which will be compatible with Ubuntu 24.04 and later versions, and is anticipated to enter beta in early 2026.
Expanded controller compatibility and new titles
Moreover, Nvidia unveiled flight control support for simulation enthusiasts, which will include compatibility with flight sticks and throttle systems from Thrustmaster and Logitech, enhancing the gaming experiences available in the cloud. The company also announced several new AAA titles coming to the cloud gaming service, including 007 First Light, Resident Evil Requiem, Crimson Desert, and Active Matter.
With Nvidia GeForce Now joining Amazon Luna and Xbox Cloud Gaming on Fire TV, the platform's cloud gaming options are rapidly expanding. Whether you're revisiting classic titles or exploring new releases, GeForce Now on Fire TV will simplify the process of enjoying PC games on the big screen without needing to invest heavily in gaming hardware.
