This portable gaming device will enable you to have a large 8-inch display conveniently in your pocket.

The OneXSugar Wallet is expected to launch in the market next year.

Currently, foldable smartphones make up a small portion of the overall smartphone market, yet they have demonstrated a genuine demand for devices that offer large screens within compact, portable designs. Consequently, smartphone manufacturers are stretching the limits by incorporating even larger displays into compact forms, with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold standing out as a prominent example.

This trend has now attracted the interest of One-Netbook, a producer of gaming handhelds, which has teased a new device featuring an 8.01-inch folding OLED screen designed in a retro-inspired, pocket-sized format. The OneXSugar Wallet has a clamshell design that unfolds to showcase a 4:3 display with a resolution of 2480 x 1861, making it suitable for both retro games and contemporary mobile titles.

The display is accompanied by low-profile joysticks, a D-pad on the left, and four action buttons on the right. The handheld also includes dual shoulder triggers on both sides and cooling vents located on the top and back. As reported by ITHome, the OneXSugar Wallet is expected to be equipped with a high-end Qualcomm processor, likely from the Snapdragon G series, though specific details remain undisclosed.

The console will support on-the-fly fan speed modifications, button mapping, and adjustments to operating power, along with software enhancements for switching between various screen modes. However, details on how these features will function in the final product have not been shared.

Launch timings and pricing details are still yet to be disclosed.

OneXSugar has not provided comprehensive information about the Wallet, only indicating that it will debut next year. Pricing information has not been released as well, but it is anticipated to be costly given the expense of devices with similarly sized foldable displays.

With its retro-inspired, portable design and high-end specifications, the OneXSugar Wallet has the potential to transform the handheld gaming landscape. However, One-Netbook must ensure superior build quality, performance, and competitive pricing for it to be genuinely successful.
