This trend has now attracted the interest of One-Netbook, a producer of gaming handhelds, which has teased a new device featuring an 8.01-inch folding OLED screen designed in a retro-inspired, pocket-sized format. The OneXSugar Wallet has a clamshell design that unfolds to showcase a 4:3 display with a resolution of 2480 x 1861, making it suitable for both retro games and contemporary mobile titles.
The display is accompanied by low-profile joysticks, a D-pad on the left, and four action buttons on the right. The handheld also includes dual shoulder triggers on both sides and cooling vents located on the top and back. As reported by ITHome, the OneXSugar Wallet is expected to be equipped with a high-end Qualcomm processor, likely from the Snapdragon G series, though specific details remain undisclosed.
The console will support on-the-fly fan speed modifications, button mapping, and adjustments to operating power, along with software enhancements for switching between various screen modes. However, details on how these features will function in the final product have not been shared.
