LG's latest Gallery TV might finally offer a viable alternative to Samsung's The Frame.

      Samsung’s The Frame may not lead the market in pure picture quality, yet it continues to be a sought-after choice for individuals who prioritize design. While a few competitors have attempted to create art-inspired TVs over the years, Samsung has consistently led this sector with minimal serious opposition. However, this advantage might finally come under challenge.

      LG appears poised to take on Samsung with a new canvas-style TV to be revealed at the CES 2026 trade show in Las Vegas. This model is designed to integrate seamlessly into living spaces as an art piece rather than a conventional television, offering a similar look and features as Samsung’s product.

      The LG Gallery TV will be available in both 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, featuring a 4K Mini LED display powered by LG’s Alpha 7 AI processor. It will also include magnetic customizable bezels and a flush mount, along with art-oriented functionalities to differentiate it from typical TVs.

      LG claims to have collaborated closely with museum curators to create the Gallery TV, which will have a Gallery Mode that automatically adjusts brightness and color depending on the surrounding light to better represent artwork. Additionally, the TV will come with features aimed at minimizing glare and reflections.

      The LG Gallery TV will come bundled with LG’s Gallery+ subscription service, granting buyers access to a library of over 4,500 artworks that can be showcased on the TV. Users will also have the option to generate custom images using AI or cast personal photos from their collections.

      LG is no newcomer to gallery-style televisions.

      This isn't LG's first attempt at canvas-style televisions. The company first revealed the LG GX Gallery OLED TV at CES 2020 and has released other models featuring a slim design and flush mount since then. However, the new Gallery TV is the first to include art-specific features, placing it directly in competition with Samsung’s long-established The Frame series.

      LG has not yet provided details on pricing and availability. More information is anticipated at CES early next year, and the company's pricing strategy may ultimately influence how well the Gallery TV competes with others in the market.
