Chrome on your iPhone now provides a more intelligent browsing experience powered by Gemini.
You can now request Gemini to summarize or respond to questions about web pages in Chrome for iOS.
Google Chrome for iOS is receiving a significant upgrade powered by Gemini that enhances the browsing experience for both iPhone and iPad users. As reported by 9to5Google, the Lens button next to the address bar has been replaced with a new button featuring the Gemini spark.
By tapping this new button, a Page tools sheet appears offering two options: “Search screen” and “Ask Gemini.” Selecting the latter opens an Ask Gemini window with a text box that allows users to enter prompts for questions related to the current webpage. Additionally, this window includes two suggestion chips at the top to aid users in quickly summarizing the page or “Create FAQ about this topic.”
According to 9to5Google, tapping the Summarize page chip triggers Gemini to provide key takeaways and insights from the page. The FAQ chip, on the other hand, generates frequently asked questions based on the webpage's content and related sites. Furthermore, Chrome for iOS reportedly displays other sample queries that let users ask Gemini to explain complex topics, test their knowledge on certain subjects, adjust recipes to suit dietary preferences, or compare information and suggest recommendations based on their tastes.
Responses from Gemini to these inquiries appear in an overlay that hovers over the webpage, similar to the Gemini overlay on Android. This overlay includes two buttons in the top right corner to initiate a new Gemini chat or access an overflow menu for rating the response, copying it, or adjusting settings.
Gemini in Chrome for iOS is said to be accessible in version 143 within the United States, provided that the browser's language is set to English. Users need to be signed into Chrome to view the new button, which is not available in Incognito mode.

Google Photos is now testing a comprehensive face editing suite that includes adjustments for smoothness, teeth, eyes, and lips. While Google's Camera app has included "face retouching" features for some time, the Photos app has generally avoided allowing specific facial feature adjustments. However, this is about to change. Android Authority has examined the latest app version (7.56) and uncovered a fully operational "Touch Up" mode that will enable users to refine facial details long after the photo has been taken.
A new “Touch Up” mode is on the way for Google Photos.
Samsung Galaxy S26 might debut with the Exynos 2600, but not everywhere.
What’s happening? Samsung is reportedly planning to utilize its new in-house Exynos 2600 chip in the forthcoming Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, but only in select markets rather than worldwide. IT Home suggests that the Exynos 2600 is intended only for Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus devices sold in Korea.
The latest Android Canary release lays the foundation for easier switching to iPhone.
Google and Apple are collaborating to simplify the process of transitioning between platforms. Switching from iPhone to Android devices has traditionally been a frustrating and lengthy endeavor, often resulting in users losing app data, experiencing incomplete media transfers, and missing messages. Fortunately, Apple and Google have joined forces to make the migration process much smoother. Earlier this year, Apple released documentation for its new AppMigrationKit framework to facilitate easier app-data transfers between iPhones and Android devices. Now, Google has introduced a similar solution in the latest Android Canary release aimed at streamlining data transfers between Android and iOS devices.
