Yandex has launched its IP camera
Now you can monitor the cat, the cottage and the forgotten iron directly from your phone — Yandex has rolled out its own smart IP camera for sale. They say she watches closely, reacts to the slightest movement and does not forget to report suspicious movements in time with a push notification.
A picture with movement
The camera can be integrated into the ecosystem of a smart home — the app "Home with Alice" and Wi-Fi are enough for this. Did you want to see what's at home? You just say, "Alice, show me the video from the camera," and it's on your screen, even on your phone, even on your TV. Scenarios like "Alice, we're gone" are also supported — then the camera will turn on, the air conditioner will turn off, and everything in the house will switch to "we're not here" mode.Image: Yandex Press Service
The new feature shoots in up to 2K resolution. Plus, the camera can rotate almost in a circle — by 350 degrees, and covers 103 degrees in width. In the dark, she turns on night mode and remains vigilant.
Where do we store compromising materials?
Videos can be recorded on a memory card — for old—school fans - or to the cloud if you want comfort and a little more functionality. That's where subscriptions come in. For example, you can store recordings for up to 7 days, ignore certain areas (for example, where a curtain is constantly hanging), and even turn on human surveillance mode.
Smart means humble.
In case you're not a fan of round-the-clock surveillance, even for yourself, the camera has a privacy mode. It can be turned on by voice, by a button on the case, or automatically — according to a scenario like "Alice, I'm home." In this mode, the camera does not just turn off, but literally hides its eyes and covers its ears — the lens turns away, the microphone turns off.Image: Yandex Press Service
The IP camera is another member of the growing crowd of Yandex.Home devices. There are stations, light bulbs, sockets, and even LED strips. Everything is controlled by voice or via the app. The devices work with both native Yandex devices and devices from other brands, as long as they support Matter or Zigbee.
