The trailer for The Old Guard 2 has been released, showcasing a showdown between Charlize Theron and Uma Thurman.

      What do you think about this major showdown between two action legends in The Old Guard 2? On one side, we have Charlize Theron, a formidable presence who ruled the Wasteland in Mad Max: Fury Road and thrived as a secret agent in Atomic Blonde. Opposing Theron is Uma Thurman, a trailblazer in the genre who became iconic for her role as The Bride in Kill Bill.

      This summer, Theron and Thurman will clash in The Old Guard 2, the fantasy sci-fi adventure available on Netflix. In the trailer, Andy (Theron) navigates life after losing her immortality. Quynh (Veronica Ngô) has escaped her underwater confinement, and Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts) remains in exile following his betrayal.

      Andy and her team — consisting of Nile (KiKi Layne), Joe (Marwan Kenzari), Nicky (Luca Marinelli), and James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) — seek the advice of Tuah (Henry Golding), an old friend who may hold the key to immortality. The super group requires all the assistance they can get to confront Discord (Thurman), the first immortal and Andy’s former adversary.

      “I will annihilate everything you cherish with a force you cannot even fathom,” Discord declares before facing off against Andy.

      Victoria Mahoney helms The Old Guard 2 from a script by Greg Rucka, inspired by the graphic novels by Rucka and illustrator Leandro Fernandez.

      This film serves as a continuation of The Old Guard directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. Released on Netflix in July 2020, the original received favorable reviews for its action sequences, direction, and lead performances.

      Netflix is optimistic that the sequel will succeed, as the platform aims to develop additional franchises. However, the five-year gap between films may pose a challenge in generating interest for a sequel. Quality prevails, and if The Old Guard 2 earns positive reception, it could draw in a substantial audience.

      Time is running out in the teaser trailer for The Life of Chuck, the upcoming adaptation of the 2020 short story by Stephen King.

      Tom Hiddleston stars as Charles "Chuck" Krantz, the main character in the tale. The film is divided into three chapters told in reverse order. In the teaser, Chuck, an ordinary man, walks down the street. When the camera shifts to Chuck smiling, it quickly flashes to younger versions of him.

      “The universe is vast, containing countless wonders, but it also includes me,” a voiceover remarks before the teaser concludes.

      Alongside Hiddleston, the impressive cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Annalise Basso, Benjamin Pajak, Karen Gillan, Mia Sara, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillén, Jacob Tremblay, Kate Siegel, and Mark Hamill. Nick Offerman serves as the film’s narrator.
