      Strands is a new daily puzzle introduced by the New York Times. This puzzle offers a challenging twist on the traditional word search, requiring a sharp eye to complete. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can sometimes be tricky to solve. There's no shame in seeking help when needed.       How to play Strands

      At the beginning of each Strands puzzle, your objective is to uncover the "theme words" that are concealed within the grid of letters. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm. When a correct word is found, the letters will be highlighted in blue and will no longer be selectable.

      If you identify a word that is not a theme word, it can still be beneficial! For every three non-theme words you discover that are at least four letters long, you'll receive a hint — one of the theme word's letters will be revealed, and you'll need to unscramble it.

      Every letter in the grid contributes to spelling out the theme words, with no overlaps. Each letter will only be used once.

      Each puzzle also features a "spangram," which is a special theme word (or words) related to the theme of the puzzle that stretches between two opposite sides of the board. When you locate the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.

      The aim is to complete the puzzle quickly while minimizing the use of hints.

      Connections tips and tricks

      The rules of Connections are simple: you have a grid of 16 words that need to be sorted into four groups based on a common connection. For instance, four out of the 16 words might all be fruits, making it logical to group them together. However, Connections is much trickier than that, so don’t expect the solutions to be so obvious. The different groups are also assigned colors based on their difficulty, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple, which is the most challenging.
