Roblox is set to release a complimentary ‘Karate Kid Training Simulator’ featuring exclusive rewards.
Roblox players will soon be learning new karate techniques with the iconic phrase: “Wax on, wax off.” Gamefam has partnered with Sony Pictures to introduce the free Karate Kid Training Simulator in Roblox ahead of the movie release of Karate Kid: Legends.
Gamefam announced the collaborative game in a press statement on Tuesday, stating it is part of a marketing initiative designed to “immerse players in the world of Karate Kid: Legends, training alongside renowned characters like Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) in familiar scenes from the upcoming film,” leading up to its theatrical premiere on May 30. Players will receive training from legendary karate masters in locales such as the streets of New York City, the rooftop dojo, and Victory Pizza, where they can sharpen their abilities and compete against other players and masters.
Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to engage in weekly Karate Kid: Legends challenges. Those who complete these challenges will unlock exclusive movie-themed rewards for their avatars, including a bonsai tree head and bandana, a Victory Pizza backpack, and a Karate Kid: Legends Trophy Popcorn Bucket hat.
Ricardo Briceno, Chief Business Officer at Gamefam, mentioned that the Karate Kid Training Simulator was developed to introduce Generation Z and Alpha players to the iconic film series that was a staple of ’80s and ’90s pop culture (and continues to be relevant with the successful Netflix series, Cobra Kai), aiming to spark interest in the new movie by engaging them where they are.
“Connecting with Gen Z and Alpha requires more than just conventional marketing—it involves being present in the environments where they play and socialize. Roblox has become crucial for establishing cultural relevance, especially with major movie releases on the horizon,” Briceno stated. “With Karate Kid, we have the chance to present an iconic franchise to a new generation of fans in an interactive, immersive, and unforgettable manner.”
The Karate Kid Training Simulator is set to launch in Roblox on Friday, May 2.

A judge has dismissed a lawsuit regarding Warner Bros.' right to distribute James Gunn's Superman in ten countries, including the U.K. and Ireland. The lawsuit was originally filed in January by Mark Peary, the nephew of late Superman co-creator Joe Schuster, asserting that Schuster's estate had the authority to revoke the Superman copyright in specific territories.
In a decision released on April 24, U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman stated that the court lacked the jurisdiction to address the estate’s rights under foreign laws. “The Court concludes that it lacks subject-matter jurisdiction over this case; the case therefore must be and is dismissed,” he wrote.
The Netflix series You has just concluded its fifth and final season this month. Once he identifies his target, Joe believes they are destined to be together, prompting him to go to extreme lengths to "protect" her and their relationship, often resulting in murder. The cycle repeats itself thereafter.
Throughout each episode, viewers get to hear Joe’s inner thoughts in a style reminiscent of Dexter as he justifies his actions and grapples with his disdain for basic human nature. Fans have anticipated his punishment, which is addressed in the finale. If you haven’t started the show yet or are thinking about re-watching his story, here are five reasons to catch You on Netflix.
