It wouldn't be Revenge of the Sith without Hayden Christensen. In a humorous new video, the Star Wars star visits a movie theater to buy a ticket for the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
“One ticket, please,” Christensen says to the theater staff. When she inquires which movie, the video shifts focus to Christensen, who is seen holding a Star Wars popcorn bucket and a Darth Vader drink, accompanied by The Imperial March in the background.
Tickets are now available for purchase at Fandango.com in select theaters across the U.S. and internationally, including AMC, Alamo Drafthouse, B&B, Cinemark, Fandango, Galaxy, Harkins, Marcus, Megaplex, and Regal Showcase. For the first time, fans can watch Revenge of the Sith in 4DX at select locations.
Showings for the Revenge of the Sith re-release will start on the afternoon and evening of April 24 and will run for one week.
Christensen joined the prequel saga as Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. Anakin is the Padawan of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin fully embraces the dark side by teaming up with Emperor Palpatine and transforming into the Sith Lord Darth Vader.
George Lucas’ prequel trilogy is often regarded as less impressive than the original trilogy. However, in the years after their release, the prequels, particularly Revenge of the Sith, have undergone critical reassessment, and it is now viewed as the strongest and most cherished of the prequels.
After nearly 20 years away from Star Wars, Christensen resumed his role in two Disney+ series: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka season 1. At Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025, Lucasfilm announced that Christensen will reprise his role as Darth Vader in Ahsoka season 2.
