Samsung 4-Door Refrigerator 2025
Samsung is integrating AI into a broad range of products, including its home appliances. We previously reported on AI applications in Samsung washing machines and the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. Now, the company is also utilizing AI to monitor appliances and anticipate potential breakdowns.
This feature, known as AI Pre-Care Notification, is part of the AI Subscription Club that Samsung introduced in 2024. The system employs AI to track appliance usage and condition, including consumable levels, to identify possible issues.
For instance, Samsung explained that if an air conditioner has lower refrigerant levels than expected or if a refrigerator's internal temperature is abnormal, the AI service will provide a diagnosis and suggest what may be wrong. To utilize this service, appliances must be connected to the SmartThings platform, after which a customer support representative will reach out by phone.
Additionally, users can schedule on-site repairs to resolve issues before a serious breakdown occurs. The AI Pre-Care Notification service is accessible for air conditioners, air dressers, dishwashers, dryers, induction cookers, kimchi refrigerators, microwaves/ovens, refrigerators, robotic vacuums, and washing machines.

This application of AI seems beneficial since it can prevent an appliance from failing and causing greater damage, making preventative maintenance quicker and more economical. Samsung also points out that early diagnoses allow for addressing air conditioning issues before the summer season, when demand for repair services increases.
However, there is a stipulation: to access the service, you must be a member of the AI Subscription Club, which is currently only available in Korea. The AI Subscription Club allows users to rent AI appliances with maintenance included, and the new AI Pre-Care Notification aims to enhance the user experience while effectively utilizing AI.
Interestingly, the AI Subscription Club also offers the option to rent Ballie, Samsung's home robot, which is expected to have a broader release in late 2025. It’s possible that Samsung will also expand the offerings of the AI Subscription Club at that time.

Apple’s rumored smart home hub faces another delay
There have been several rumors indicating that Apple is developing a smart home display to compete with Google's Nest Hub and Amazon's Echo Show. Speculation suggested the device would be Siri-operated and may resemble a HomePod with an iPad as the screen.
Originally, this device was expected to launch this year, with early reports indicating a first-half release. However, it has since been pushed back, potentially releasing alongside the iPhone 17 series later in the year.
Should you invest in a wet-dry vacuum? Everything you need to know before purchasing
If your home features tile, hardwood, or LVP flooring, you may have contemplated getting a wet-dry vacuum. These handy devices are designed to simplify the floor cleaning process, saving time while keeping your hands dry. With a wet-dry vacuum, the hassle of dirty mops and soaked floors is eliminated. Many models can even self-clean, minimizing maintenance concerns and preventing unpleasant odors.
But are wet-dry vacuums worth their high price? Even budget-friendly versions can run into the hundreds, while premium models can exceed $500. In contrast, a high-quality mop and other cleaning supplies can be acquired for well under $50.
