If Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 does not meet your Souls-like expectations, the newly released Hardcore Mode update will make adjustments. This update is now available and significantly increases the difficulty, akin to trying to survive during the Bubonic Plague while on immunosuppressants. Although it has been anticipated for a long time, players are now experiencing the true essence of this mode.
The aim is to enhance immersion by disabling conveniences such as fast travel, your location on the map, and directions to your next quest. Essentially, if you wish to know where to go and what to do, you'll need to be attentive to the information given to you. The patch notes state, “Hardcore Mode is here — and it’s not for the faint of heart.”
You can inquire with NPCs about your location and ask travelers for directions. However, your reputation and the attitude of those you meet will play a role; coming across someone doesn’t guarantee they’ll help you.
When you enter Hardcore Mode, you must select at least three permanent negative perks. There is no turning back once you begin this journey. For instance, you might choose Heavy-Footed, which makes your movements louder and wears down your footwear more quickly. Numbskull will cause you to gain experience at a slower rate.
If you have played the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you may recall its Hardcore mode. This new version is an evolution of that concept. “We were really happy with how Hardcore Mode turned out in the first game, but we didn’t want it to be identical,” says Karel Kolmann, senior game designer at Warhorse Studios.
If you believe you have mastered Bohemia, Hardcore Mode will inject new life into the game, making it feel revitalized. It also provides an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself or immerse yourself in the medieval lifestyle without the actual dangers of disease or unpleasant odors.

Overwatch 2 is now on Xbox Game Pass, and it comes with perks
On Tuesday, Blizzard Entertainment unexpectedly launched Overwatch 2 on Xbox Game Pass, despite the game being free to play and already available on Xbox. This addition may seem peculiar, but as noted in a Blizzard blog post, the goal is to encourage players to link their Battle.net and Xbox accounts. As an incentive, players who do so will receive six exclusive skins: Cardboard Reinhardt, Turtleship D.Va, Cyberdragon Hanzo, Street Runner Genji, Bee Mercy, and Cleric Lifeweaver. (The image of Reinhardt in a cardboard suit is quite delightful.) Players will also receive 30 Mythic Prisms to use in the Mythic Shop for additional skins.
