NYT Strands for today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Friday, April 11.
Strands is a new daily puzzle introduced by the New York Times. Offering a more challenging twist on the traditional word search, you'll need sharp observation skills to solve it. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can occasionally present difficulties. There's nothing wrong with seeking a bit of assistance when needed. If you find yourself stuck and wish to know the solutions to today’s Strands puzzle, take a look at the completed puzzle provided below.
How to play Strands
Every Strands puzzle begins with the objective of uncovering the “theme words” concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; tap the last letter twice to confirm. When you identify a correct word, the letters will be marked in blue and will no longer be selectable.
If you come across a word that isn't a theme word, it can still be beneficial! For every three non-theme words you discover that are at least four letters long, you will receive a hint — one of the theme word's letters will be exposed, and you will need to unscramble it.
All letters in the grid are utilized to create the theme words without any overlap. Each letter is used only once.
Each puzzle features a “spangram,” a specific theme word (or words) that relate to the puzzle’s theme and touches two opposite edges of the board. When the spangram is found, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim is to finish the puzzle rapidly without relying too much on hints.
