      **Design**

      In comparison to my last review of the Apple Studio Display, which embodies a sleek and refined design typical of Apple products, the RD280UA presents a more robust aesthetic. It is primarily black, with a simplistic yet commanding presence. The monitor is somewhat thick without the stand and has a striking form. The ergonomic flexible arm on my review unit is exceptionally well-engineered and tailored for this monitor, functioning exceptionally well. It is also heavy and feels sturdy, though it may not suit those in search of a minimalist setup. With a design reminiscent of brutalist architecture, this monitor certainly establishes its presence.

      Despite a preference for the all-metal design of the Apple Studio Display, I have no doubts about the RD280UA’s long-term durability. Its solid construction suggests it will last for years. The monitor arm also features decent cable management to keep things organized.

      On the rear, a “MoonHalo” light adjusts automatically according to ambient light, offering background illumination that helps to minimize glare — a thoughtful feature that aligns with the monitor’s ergonomic focus.
