Neko Health, led by Spotify's CEO, has launched its largest body-scan clinic to date.

Body-scanning startup Neko Health has launched its largest clinic to date, continuing its growth in London just six months after establishing its first location in the city.

The innovative new facility enhances access to Neko’s advanced health technology, which integrates body scans, lidar sensors, and AI with blood tests, eye pressure assessments, and strength evaluations to analyze millions of data points in just minutes.

The results can indicate potential issues related to the skin, heart, blood vessels, and inflammation. A human physician promptly discusses the results with the user. Within an hour of their arrival, they leave the clinic.

The concept was developed by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek and his business partner Hjalmar Nilsonne, who aim to transition healthcare from a reactive approach to a proactive one.

After establishing Neko in their home country of Sweden in 2023, they began to expand into London last year, opening their first health center in the trendy area of Marylebone.

The second London facility significantly increases the company’s operational capacity. Situated in the vibrant Spitalfields Market, the center spans a spacious 7,466 square feet and can accommodate up to 30,000 scans each year.

“This health center is designed for scalability, and we’re making a significant commitment to London,” Nilsonne stated.

      London is beckoning Neko

The new center features a modern design that reflects the style of the original London site. Neko has plans to launch two additional clinics in London and aims to expand to other cities in the UK this year.

A company representative shared with TNW that London was “a strategic choice” for Neko's international growth beyond Stockholm.

“It embodies the global market; it attracts health tourism and presents a competitive landscape for private healthcare,” they noted. “If we can establish ourselves here, we have the potential to do so elsewhere. Moreover, London is a global healthcare hub, home to world-class medical facilities and research institutions.”

The city also appears to have a sufficient number of individuals willing to pay the £299 fee for each body scan. The Marylebone center has seen significant waitlists. According to Neko, 80% of members at their London and Stockholm locations book and prepay for a scan for the following year at the conclusion of their appointment.

So far, Neko has conducted over 15,000 scans between the two centers. Earlier this year, TNW added one more to the tally. During our consultation with the doctor, we were advised to pursue further evaluation. Once we have our NHS appointment, we will share all the details of our experience and Neko’s findings.

If you’re interested in experiencing a scan yourself, you can join the waitlist here.

The future of healthcare will be discussed at the TNW Conference, scheduled for June 19-20 in Amsterdam. Tickets for this event are currently available. Use the code TNWXMEDIA2025 at checkout to receive a 30% discount.
