Déjà Vu (2006)
You can't go wrong with a Jerry Bruckheimer sci-fi action film featuring both Denzel Washington and the late Val Kilmer. In Déjà Vu, a ferry transporting U.S. Navy personnel and their families to Mardi Gras explodes, killing everyone on board. ATF Special Agent Doug Carlin (Washington) discovers it was a bomb planted by a domestic terrorist and aims to uncover the perpetrator and their motives. Teaming up with a special unit and utilizing a unique surveillance system called Snow White, they trace the movements of Claire (Paula Patton), a woman whose corpse they find, whom they believe was murdered before the explosion.
However, it turns out that Snow White has capabilities beyond what Carlin anticipated, allowing him to use it as a time window to send a warning to himself about the suspect's whereabouts, hoping to catch him in the act. Blending action-packed sequences with a time travel theme, Déjà Vu is an engaging film and a fitting tribute to Kilmer in one of his lesser-known roles.

Limitless (2011)
Imagine unlocking the full potential of your brain. While set aside scientific possibilities, Limitless tells the story of struggling writer Eddie (Bradley Cooper) and his experience with a nootropic drug called NZT-48, which grants him extraordinary cognitive abilities. Naturally, he becomes addicted to the drug and the success it brings, but he soon realizes the harmful long-term consequences. He must navigate how to keep benefiting from the drug while maintaining his seemingly perfect life without causing himself damage in the future.
A standout film currently available on Amazon Prime Video, Limitless also stars Robert De Niro, Abbie Cornish, and Anna Friel. This sci-fi thriller is based on Alan Glynn's novel The Dark Fields and inspired a TV series of the same name that continued the story beyond the film but lasted only one season.

Legion (2010)
Paul Bettany portrays Archangel Michael in Legion, who descends to Earth in Los Angeles, severs his wings, and finds himself in a terrifying diner situation as the sky darkens and possessed individuals launch an attack. What's happening? God has lost faith in humanity and has dispatched his angels to wipe out the human race and start afresh. However, Michael believes there is still hope and that a pregnant waitress named Charlie (Adrianne Palicki) should be saved, as her child is destined to be the savior of humanity.
Though it received mixed to negative reviews, Legion was a box office success. It has become one of those peculiar films that’s so bad, it's entertaining, making it ideal for home viewing.
