Apple Original Films has unveiled the newest trailer for F1, an action movie featuring Brad Pitt. In the realm of racing, Sonny Hayes (Pitt) is deemed the “best that never was.” An incident on the track denied Sonny of Formula 1 fame, glory, and superstardom. Three decades later, Sonny gets a chance for redemption from Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), his former teammate who now leads the Apex Grand Prix team (APXGP).
As the team nears its breaking point, Ruben persuades Sonny to join APXGP and race alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), a confident rookie brimming with potential. “I’m offering you an open seat in Formula 1,” Ruben tells Sonny in the thrilling trailer. “It’s the only place where you can claim that if you win, you are the absolute best in the world.”
Sonny hesitantly agrees and soon experiences tensions with Joshua. While Sonny possesses the ability to compete, his mental resilience will be put to the test as he returns to racing.
F1 also features Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film's screenplay was penned by Ehren Kruger based on a story co-created by the two. Kosinski and Kruger notably worked together on 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick, a successful sequel to the 1986 film. Maverick earned six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, and won for Best Sound.
The producing team includes Pitt, Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Keleiner, Chad Omen, and F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. F1 was filmed during the 2023 and 2024 Formula One seasons and showcases real-life drivers such as Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Lando Norris. The film is set for theatrical release and IMAX on June 27, 2025.

With the entire world monitoring the mission, NASA requires a contingency plan in case anything goes wrong. Although Apollo 11 launch director Cole Davis (Tatum) is against the idea, he reluctantly agrees to film a staged moon landing with Kelly, which leads to a potential romance between them.
