Samsung's upcoming Unpacked event is anticipated in July, and while the highlight will be the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, there may be an additional surprise: a pair of earbuds that enable high-fidelity music listening without hindering your awareness of surroundings. Reliable sources, Digital Chat Station and Ice Universe, disclosed this information on Weibo, referring to the new earbuds as “bone conduction” models.
Both sources have also described them as open wireless stereo (OWS) earbuds. This type of earbud typically conveys audio to the ear through air instead of vibrations. Although details about Samsung’s plans remain vague, it appears likely that the tech giant has a new project on the horizon.
OWS earbuds are favored by runners, cyclists, and individuals needing to stay alert to their environment while exercising. They provide users the ability to enjoy music without inserting objects in their ears, thus allowing them to remain conscious of oncoming traffic.

Galaxy Buds are a favored choice for Android users looking for an alternative to AirPods. They deliver sound quality comparable to high-end earbuds, a comfortable fit, and various features that make them a popular option. If Samsung's new earbuds match or surpass the Galaxy Buds' quality, they should easily attract an audience.
The new earbuds are expected to launch at the next Unpacked event alongside the new smartphone models. Current information is limited, but following recent trends, additional leaks are likely to surface as the event approaches.
This announcement may also make bone-conduction earbuds—typically more expensive—more accessible, especially with more companies entering this segment of the market.

Samsung users, take note: One UI 7 could rearrange your home screen.
If you haven't upgraded to One UI 7 yet, consider taking a screenshot of your current home screen layout beforehand. Reports suggest that upgrading could shuffle your home screen layout dramatically. One UI 7 offers fewer grid layout options than its predecessor, mainly to accommodate the Now Bar.
One UI 6 allowed grid layouts of 4x5, 4x6, 5x5, and 5x6, while One UI 7 supports only 4x6 and 5x6, according to Android Authority. If you currently utilize one of the unsupported layouts, expect a different appearance post-upgrade, and you'll need to reorganize your home screen thereafter.
Samsung's upcoming budget phone will charge quicker than the Galaxy S25.
Typically, budget smartphones require less power to charge compared to flagship models, leading to longer charging times. However, the FCC confirmed that Samsung's forthcoming affordable model, the Galaxy A56, will charge slightly faster than the Galaxy S25.
According to GSMArena's report, a leaked FCC document indicates that the Galaxy A56 will feature 45-watt charging capabilities, which may allow for quicker charging compared to the Galaxy S25. This information stems from a screenshot revealing the budget model’s rating of 10 volts at 4.5 amps, resulting in 45W of charging capability.
Does the Samsung Galaxy S25 include a charger in the box?
Samsung's latest high-end models are here! The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra bear a striking resemblance to the previous Galaxy S24 series, yet they come with a collection of subtle yet significant upgrades that reflect their price points.
The S25 and S25 Plus are equipped with a 4,000mAh battery and a 4,900mAh battery, respectively, while the S25 Ultra boasts an impressive 5,000mAh battery.
