Daniel Craig might be involved in the Narnia franchise. According to Deadline, Craig is considering a part in Greta Gerwig's feature film adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia for Netflix. It's currently unclear if he will officially join the cast, but he does “hold the offer.” Details about the character he may portray remain undisclosed.
This is the second significant casting news regarding Narnia that has emerged this March. Charli XCX is reportedly in discussions to join the cast, potentially taking on the role of the villainous Jadis, the White Witch. Craig has recently received critical acclaim for his performance in Luca Guadagnino's Queer, earning nominations at the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice, and SAG Awards. He is set to reprise his role as Detective Benoit Blanc for a third time in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, slated for release on Netflix later this year. Known primarily for his portrayal of James Bond in five films, including 2021's No Time to Die, Craig is a well-recognized British actor.
Netflix is preparing to start production on Gerwig's Narnia later this year. Casting calls are currently taking place for the roles of the young characters. Gerwig has secured a historic arrangement with IMAX for the release of Narnia on nearly 1,000 screens on Thanksgiving Day 2026, and the film is guaranteed to be shown in IMAX for at least two weeks. Following its theatrical release, the movie will be available for streaming on Netflix around Christmas Day 2026.
Netflix aims for Narnia to be the beginning of a franchise. During an earnings call, IMAX's Rich Gelfond mentioned that the streaming service intends to produce eight Narnia movies. This marks Gerwig's first project since the Oscar-winning Barbie, which became the highest-grossing film of 2023.

The best movies on Amazon Prime Video (March 2025)
Amazon has not provided a comprehensive list of films coming to Prime Video in March, making it a bit challenging to identify the most significant new additions. However, Smile 2 stands out as a recommendation—it's a compelling horror sequel that builds on its predecessor while functioning well as a standalone story. Also notable this week is a British romantic comedy titled Picture This, which offers a nostalgic feel reminiscent of '90s films in the genre. The complete list of the best movies on Amazon Prime can be found below, although it is less extensive following last month's departures. Be sure to check back regularly, as this list is updated every Friday to help you prepare for the weekend’s viewing.
