Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 may receive an Ultra enhancement.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
Samsung's Galaxy S25 series has been available for a few months now, and the latest additions to the Galaxy A series were introduced right before Mobile World Congress at the beginning of March. As a result, attention is shifting towards the company's foldable phones, and recent reports indicate that a long-anticipated update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 might be on the way.
According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could feature a main sensor with a higher resolution than what we’ve seen in previous models. It's reported that the flagship folding device could incorporate the same 200-megapixel main sensor as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, marking a significant increase from the 50-megapixel sensor of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. If this rumor proves accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 would be the first Samsung folding device to launch outside South Korea with a 200-megapixel sensor, narrowing the camera performance gap between Samsung's flagship Galaxy S Ultra and the Galaxy Z series.
What additional features might the Galaxy Z Fold 7 include?
GalaxyClub further mentions that the under-display camera of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is also expected to see enhancements when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Although no specific resolution increase is noted, it is said to be “better.”
Regarding the other rear cameras and front camera, the report indicates that they will likely remain unchanged from the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This suggests that the 200-megapixel main camera will be paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, with the front camera staying at 10-megapixels.
Currently, there's no official announcement regarding the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, but rumors, backed by the GalaxyClub report, imply that July may be the month to watch. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also anticipated to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and discussions of a tri-fold device, potentially competing with the Huawei Mate XT, have also emerged.

You may flip less thanks to this Galaxy Z Flip 7 screen upgrade.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a slightly different appearance compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The final design of the forthcoming foldable phone shows an upgraded outer display that eliminates the black folder frame.
A report from Android Headlines indicates that images of the Z Flip 7 reveal it will forego the quirky black frame found on the Z Flip 6. While these images do not confirm the internal specifications, they do suggest that the outer display of the Z Flip 7 will be larger than its predecessor's. With a bigger screen, users could accomplish more tasks, like watching TikTok videos and messaging friends, without needing to flip the phone open as often.
Samsung opens One UI 7 beta for foldables and confirms stable release window.
Samsung launched the beta testing program for the Android 15-based One UI 7 software in December, but its availability has been limited to a few devices without a final release date. That situation has changed today.
The company has announced that the stable version of One UI 7 will be available in April. Additionally, more devices will join the beta testing program starting tomorrow for users in India, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
Samsung is so behind schedule, it might skip from One UI 7 straight to One UI 8.
Despite facing numerous delays and a considerable development period, One UI 7.0 may be the only version released. Typically, Samsung would issue at least a 7.1 version to address any unexpected bugs from the initial rollout, but a trustworthy leaker has indicated that this generation may differ.
"The next version of One UI 7.0 is One UI 8.0. There is no One UI 7.1 or 7.1.1," stated @UniverseIce on X. This information is surprising, yet it appears logical. Despite several beta releases, Samsung has not yet launched the complete, stable version of One UI 7, and the company has not provided a specific release window.
