Intelligent button and thoughtful design: what will the new Yandex scooter look like

      Yandex is preparing to launch a new season with an updated model of electric scooters developed by its own team of engineers. One of the key innovations is the smart button, which allows you to start a trip without having to take out your phone and open the app. This technology is currently undergoing final closed testing.To start the scooter, the user just needs to hold the button on the steering wheel for a few seconds. At this point, the built-in IoT module automatically connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth and sends a command to activate the device. After completing the security check, the lease begins.

      

       The same button will be used to stop or pause the ride. Testing is expected to end in April, after which the new feature will be available on all scooters in Moscow.

       The updated IoT module has built-in improved mechanisms for determining areas with limited speed or no movement, which allows you to more accurately adjust the operating mode of the scooter.

       To increase visibility on the roads, side light indicators are provided that signal braking and maneuvers. In addition, the device is equipped with a flashlight with a lighting range of up to 10 meters. The basic rules of safe driving are placed on the body of the scooter to remind users to comply with traffic regulations.

       The scooter has become three kilograms lighter. The front wheel is enlarged in diameter, the new platform provides a more stable foot position during the ride. The additional emphasis allows you to maintain balance during sudden maneuvers, for example, during emergency braking or obstacle avoidance. Handles for carrying the device are also provided.
