The OnePlus 13 features one of the top camera systems available on a smartphone, and a forthcoming software update is expected to further enhance its functionality. As reported by Android News, this upcoming update aims to improve the focusing abilities of the rear cameras. Additionally, enhancements to the tone and color of images captured with the rear camera are anticipated.
Launched globally in January, the OnePlus 13 is equipped with three rear cameras, each with a resolution of 50 megapixels: a 50MP primary camera from Sony, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera from Sony that offers a 3x optical zoom via a “triple prism” setup. While the app allows for a 6x zoom, this hybrid zoom depends on a combination of the cameras, software, and AI.
Our review highlighted that the phone produces “vibrant, detailed, and engaging photos in various conditions.” The 6x zoom has been deemed “really good,” and the phone demonstrates “good consistency between the primary and wide-angle cameras.”

In this instance, OnePlus is enhancing the camera system of its latest flagship device, and it is likely that the update will include various bug fixes as well.
The new update, CPH2655_15.0.0.602(EX01), is currently being rolled out to improve stability and performance, with a size of 1.26GB.
