NYT Strands for today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Monday, March 10.
Strands is a newly launched daily puzzle from the New York Times. It offers a more challenging version of the traditional word search, requiring a sharp eye to complete it. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can sometimes be quite tricky. There's no embarrassment in seeking assistance occasionally. If you're stuck and need the solutions for today’s Strands puzzle, refer to the solved puzzle provided below.
How to play Strands
Each Strands puzzle begins with the objective of discovering the “theme words” concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm. When you identify the correct word, the letters will be highlighted in blue and will no longer be selectable.
If you come across a word that doesn’t belong to the theme, it’s still beneficial! For every three non-theme words that are at least four letters long that you find, you’ll receive a hint — one of the letters in a theme word will be revealed, and you will need to unscramble it.
All letters in the grid contribute to spelling the theme words without any overlap. Each letter is used exactly once.
Each puzzle features one “spangram,” which is a unique theme word or words that represent the puzzle's theme and spans two opposite sides of the board. When you identify the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The objective is to finish the puzzle swiftly while minimizing the use of hints.

Today’s Wordle answer changed due to Roe v. Wade
There are certain days when Wordle players may receive different answers based on the browser they are using to play the game. Today is one such day, but for a significantly different reason. The New York Times altered today’s Wordle answer due to its unintentional link to the Supreme Court's approaching ruling on Roe v. Wade.
The initial answer for Wordle 324 was meant to be "fetus." Wordle founder Josh Wardle set that solution to appear today over a year ago, long before The New York Times acquired the game at the peak of its popularity in January. Everdeen Mason, editorial director for New York Times Games, indicated in a statement that the answer was changed to something entirely different because of how closely it was related to the Supreme Court's leaked draft opinion from last week, which included a proposal to overturn the 1973 landmark Roe v. Wade abortion ruling, causing nationwide turmoil.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut finally arrives on PC on March 30
Kojima Productions and 505 Games' Death Stranding Director's Cut is set to launch for PC on March 30, 2022. It will be available for $40 for new players, while those who already own Death Stranding on PC can upgrade for a small fee.
Death Stranding Director's Cut is an upgraded version of director Hideo Kojima's most experimental game. It follows Norman Reedus' character, Sam Porter Bridges, as he gradually journeys across America to reconnect humanity. In our 2019 review, Digital Trends remarked that "it won't change the perspectives of Kojima critics who believe he should focus solely on filmmaking, but the game’s introspective social aspects highlight his continued importance in the gaming industry."
Hideo Kojima ignites new Death Stranding speculation with his latest tweets
Renowned video game designer Hideo Kojima seems to be planning something, potentially related to the Death Stranding universe.
