Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 are making a return, arriving this summer.
Tony Hawk's™ Pro Skater™ 3 + 4 | Reveal Trailer
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is set to be released on July 11 (or July 8 for those who pre-order its deluxe editions) and will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Upon launch, it will also be included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC. This remake package will introduce new skate parks for the first time in a decade.
The five-year journey to this release has been lengthy. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was released in 2020 to widespread acclaim, sparking hopes for further remakes. However, those hopes were dashed when the developer, Vicarious Visions, was merged into Blizzard in 2021 and became a support studio. The following year, Tony Hawk stated that plans for remakes of Pro Skater 3 and 4 were in place but were paused due to the transition.
Now, with a new studio in charge, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is becoming a reality. Iron Galaxy Studios, known for Rumbleverse and Killer Instinct, is developing this package.
Activision released two trailers showcasing the visual upgrades and redesigned skate parks. Iconic locations like the airport and Canada feature in the first trailer, accompanied by Motorhead’s Ace of Spades. The soundtrack will include songs from the original games such as Adolescents’ Amoeba and CKY’s 96 Quite Bitter Beings, along with new additions. The second trailer highlights a revamped Foundry and focuses on the Digital Deluxe edition, which provides players with a variety of Doom-themed items. This edition will include Doom-themed decks and clothing, as well as skaters like Doom Slayer and a Revenant. Players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe edition can access the game starting on July 8. Additionally, a Collector’s Edition will be offered, which comes with the same benefits plus a full-size Birdhouse skateboard deck and a printed autograph from Tony Hawk.
Pre-ordering the standard edition does not grant early access but does provide players with a Wireframe Tony Shader and access to a demo in June, allowing them to experience the Foundry park. This demo will not be available on Nintendo Switch.
Moreover, the remake bundle will introduce brand new parks and feature several new skaters, including Rayssa Leal, Chloe Covell, Jamie Foy, Zion Wright, and Yuto Horigome. The standard edition of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be released on July 11 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
