      Anora reached its storybook conclusion at the 2025 Oscars. The dramedy centered on a sex worker who weds the son of a Russian oligarch secured five Oscars, including Best Picture. Sean Baker, the director of Anora, made history by becoming the first individual to earn four Oscars for a single film, taking home awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing. Miey Madison, the star of Anora, achieved a surprising win for Best Actress over Demi Moore from The Substance.

      Brady Corbet's grand film The Brutalist, which follows a Holocaust survivor and architect who relocates to the United States, garnered three Oscars, including Best Cinematographer and Best Original Score. Adrien Brody, the leading actor in The Brutalist, won Best Actor, narrowly surpassing Timothée Chalamet.
