If you ask any player of Monster Hunter Wilds, they'll emphasize the significance of constantly upgrading your gear. Unlike standard RPGs, there aren't any character levels, so the only way to grow stronger is by crafting improved weapons and armor at the blacksmith. As is typical in many games, upgrading gear isn't free; it requires both currency and raw materials. One of the initial materials you'll need is iron. Iron is quite prevalent in the initial area of Monster Hunter Wilds, Windward Plains, as well as in Scarlet Forest. It appears as a large blue geode on the ground, and there's a corresponding blue icon on your map. To easily locate them on your map, open the map and access the Filter Icons menu. Turn off all icons except for the Mining Outcrop icons. Then, simply find an iron icon on your map, set a waypoint, and have your Seikret guide you there. You don’t require a pickaxe or any specific tool to mine iron. Just approach the outcrop and press the interact button to start mining. Each one can yield three iron pieces, so keep pressing the button until it's completely exhausted.
