How to summon support hunters in Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom
You might become familiar with every technique and strategy in Monster Hunter Wilds, but at some point, you'll face a monster that's just too challenging to tackle solo. Typically, players are advised to team up with friends against these formidable adversaries, though they may not always be available. Additionally, some players might prefer not to have other real individuals in their game. This is where Support Hunters come in. If you require assistance with a hunt but prefer not to enlist other human players, here’s how to do it.

How to summon Support Hunters
Support Hunters are NPC allies from your team who can appear when you send out an SOS flare to help you with your current quest. Being NPCs, they will follow your directions and do their best to assist you. While they may not match the skills of a seasoned player, they will get the job done. However, if you simply enter a standard lobby in Monster Hunter Wilds, the game will prioritize recruiting human players first and will only turn to Support Hunters if no players are available. To ensure you receive only Support Hunters, either start a new game or switch to the Online Single Player Lobby. You can change lobby types at the Quest Counter if necessary.
Another method to guarantee you get Support Hunters without switching lobbies is by visiting the Quest Counter, adjusting settings, and selecting Multiplayer Status. Here, you can indicate that only Support Hunters are allowed to join you. Unless you are determined to exclude other players from your game for any reason, we recommend not relying solely on Support Hunters. Particularly during high-rank hunts, a well-coordinated team of real players will be essential for success.

Monster Hunter Wilds is Capcom’s most successful PC launch ever
Monster Hunter Wilds has only been available for less than 24 hours, yet it has already claimed the number six position for the most-played games in history on Steam. It has also established itself as Capcom's most successful PC launch, surpassing 500,000 players, and that figure continues to rise. As of approximately 9:40 AM ET, the game has more than 1.3 million concurrent players. That's an impressive number, exceeding the peak player counts of Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3. This figure represents a remarkable increase compared to Monster Hunter World, which had a peak of just over 330,000 players. Wilds is an extraordinary success, particularly considering that this total does not include PlayStation or Xbox users.

Monster Hunter Wilds: tips and tricks for the perfect hunt
Following the excitement generated by Monster Hunter World and Rise, which introduced many players to the thrill of hunting colossal monsters, Monster Hunter Wilds is set to be the most popular installment in this long-standing franchise. While Wilds makes significant improvements over its predecessors, it is still designed to be a long and intricate experience, especially for newcomers. This isn't a game you can jump into with just your weapon and a couple of friends without a strategy and hope to return unscathed. Experienced hunters may know some essentials, but there are numerous new mechanics and tips to familiarize yourself with in order to tackle those high-rank hunts. Let’s set up camp and go through the vital tips and tricks for Monster Hunter Wilds before we mount our Seikrets and venture out.
Preparation is key
In Monster Hunter Wilds, your hunt starts even before you step out of your base. While you may get by briefly by rushing toward your next target, eventually, you’ll need to spend some time in your tent making preparations. The most critical step is ensuring your hunter has a good meal. Once you gain access to the grill, you should always provide yourself with the best possible buffs before each hunt. Basic enhancements, such as increased HP and stamina, are always beneficial, but you can also tailor your buffs to give you stronger resistance against the specific damage type your target inflicts.
How to utilize the wishlist in Monster Hunter Wilds
The core mechanics of Monster Hunter Wilds remain consistent with prior games: hunt monsters, gather materials, and either forge or upgrade gear. You'll repeat this cycle numerous times, possibly even hundreds, as you face increasingly larger and more dangerous creatures with companions. In earlier entries, you needed to remember what materials you were missing for your next upgrade in order to gather them. However, that’s no longer necessary. The game features a new wishlist function that it doesn’t explain very well in terms of its utility or usage. Here are all the tips and tricks you should know about the wishlist in Monster Hunter Wilds.
