Samsung has announced that the new Galaxy A series, which includes the A36 and A56 models, will be launched on March 2. Although the Galaxy A26 wasn't specifically mentioned, several leaks indicate that it might be unveiled as well.

Last week, details about these three devices were listed on the Chilean Samsung Service website, suggesting their imminent arrival, though it didn’t specify when. Samsung is set to officially unveil the phones on March 2, and they are expected to be available for purchase shortly thereafter.

Among the trio, the Galaxy A56 is anticipated to be the most powerful, featuring a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and powered by an Exynos 1580 chip. It is also predicted to include a 5,000mAh battery and support for 45W charging, offering improved battery life and charging speeds compared to the Galaxy S25 flagship.

The Galaxy A36 aims to compete directly with the Google Pixel 9a. Of the three devices, the A36 is most likely to debut in North America, potentially maintaining the $399 price point of the Galaxy A35. Unlike the A56, the A36 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, while sharing similar battery capacity and charging speeds with its more powerful counterpart.

In terms of aesthetics, many believe the A36 looks more appealing. It features a design language that seems more polished than the Galaxy S25, offering a pill-shaped camera enclosure instead of a straightforward row of lenses. It is also rumored to support some Galaxy AI features, although this might be limited—especially if the speculated 6GB RAM variation is accurate.

If Samsung can retain the $400 price point for this model, it could present one of the best value options in recent years for a mid-range smartphone. While it may not rival high-end devices in terms of power, the Galaxy A36 could serve as a budget-friendly option with minimal compromises.

On the verge of switching from Android to iPhone?

A recent survey of current iPhone users revealed that 48% had previously owned an Android device. This information stems from an in-depth report analyzing data from 4,000 participants compiled by analysts at Counterpoint Research. Despite the typical challenges associated with transitioning between Android and iOS (or vice versa), nearly half of the current iPhone users were undeterred.

The research highlights that Samsung and Google are experiencing significant losses as users decide to switch to iPhones. The report warns that Samsung may witness a marked decline in S-series ownership in the next two years if this trend persists. Additionally, it notes that Samsung, along with other brands like OnePlus and leading Chinese brand Vivo, are leveraging AI and flagship specifications to distinguish their devices in order to attract and retain customers.

It’s official: Samsung confirms the existence of the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26.

Speculation surrounding the unreleased Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 models has been rampant, but today the company confirmed their existence. The three devices appeared on the Chilean Samsung Service website, which caters to customers needing repairs for out-of-warranty products, including pricing for various models.

As these devices have not yet been released, the price is simply marked as "not available," but it does provide us with the model numbers.

I used the Oppo Find N5; here’s why it's taking the place of my Galaxy Z Fold 6.

After a series of teasers about its new folding phone, Oppo has finally revealed the Oppo Find N5, which claims to be the world’s thinnest foldable device. Oppo has addressed many of the critiques it received regarding the Find N3, culminating in a phone that shows folding technology no longer necessitates concessions—at least on paper.

The Oppo Find N5 also tackles many of the prevalent concerns surrounding the folding phone category overall. When using the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Pixel 9 Pro Fold in public, I frequently receive inquiries about its durability, whether the crease is visible, its battery life, and the camera quality.
