NYT Strands for today: clues, spangrams, and solutions for Tuesday, February 25.
Strands is a new daily puzzle from the New York Times. A more challenging version of the traditional word search, it requires sharp observation to solve. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can sometimes be quite tricky. If you find yourself struggling, there's no harm in seeking a bit of assistance. If you need the answers to today’s Strands puzzle, you can find the solved puzzle below.
How to play Strands:
At the beginning of each Strands puzzle, your aim is to locate the “theme words” concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; confirm your final letter by double-tapping it. If you correctly identify a word, the letters will be highlighted in blue and will not be selectable anymore.
If you happen to uncover a non-theme word, that still contributes! For every three non-theme words of at least four letters that you find, you’ll earn a hint — one of the theme word's letters will be revealed, and you simply need to unscramble it.
Every letter in the grid is used to form the theme words, with no overlap; each letter will be used exactly once. Each puzzle contains a “spangram,” which is a unique theme word (or words) that illustrates the puzzle’s theme and spans across two opposite sides of the grid. When you locate the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The objective is to complete the puzzle promptly while minimizing the use of hints.

Today’s Wordle answer has changed due to Roe v. Wade.
There are occasions when Wordle players receive different solutions based on the browser they're using. Today is one such day, but for a very different reason. The New York Times altered today's Wordle answer due to its unintended connection with the Supreme Court's upcoming ruling on Roe v. Wade.
The original solution for Wordle 324 was meant to be "fetus." Wordle founder Josh Wardle had scheduled this response over a year ago, long before The New York Times acquired the game in January at the peak of its popularity. Everdeen Mason, editorial director for New York Times Games, stated that the answer was changed to something completely different because it was closely linked to the Supreme Court's leaked draft opinion from last week, which suggested overturning the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, causing considerable shock nationwide.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut finally arrives on PC on March 30.
Kojima Productions and 505 Games will release Death Stranding Director's Cut for PC on March 30, 2022. The cost for new players will be $40, but those who already own Death Stranding on PC can upgrade for a minimal fee.
Death Stranding Director's Cut is a refined version of Hideo Kojima's most experimental game to date. It follows Norman Reedus' character, Sam Porter Bridges, as he journeys across America in an effort to reconnect humanity. In an earlier review of the game, Digital Trends noted that "it won't change the minds of Kojima critics who believe he should focus solely on filmmaking, but the game's meaningful social elements highlight his ongoing importance in the gaming industry."
Hideo Kojima fuels new speculation regarding Death Stranding with his latest tweets.
Renowned video game designer Hideo Kojima seems to have something intriguing in the works, potentially linked to the Death Stranding universe.
