Parks and Recreation
In a time when numerous shows are being revived or rebooted, it’s no surprise that fans of Parks and Recreation are keen for a return of this cherished sitcom from the Obama era. Rashida Jones, one of the show's leading actresses, has expressed her enthusiasm for a revival at any moment. The series concluded its run in 2015, concluding with a time jump to 2025 in its final episode. “Wait, were we in 2025 at the end? That's wild,” Jones remarked during a conversation with Gold Derby. Ultimately, Mike Schur, who co-created the show with Greg Daniels, would hold the final say on whether the series returns.
“I truly hope it happens soon,” Jones commented regarding a possible revival. “Mike Schur has said, ‘We need a reason to bring it back. We can't just do it for the sake of it.’ However, I would love that.”
The final episode of the show featured a time-hopping narrative, showcasing the main cast in the years 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2025, 2035, and 2048, complicating the prospect of revisiting the show's universe. Schur has previously indicated that he might be open to reviving the series if the right concept arises.
“I believed the show had a message about teamwork and friendship. I don’t think we left any loose ends. I would never say never. The opportunity to revisit it, should it come up, would be amazing, but we would only proceed if all of us felt there was a strong reason to do so,” Schur explained to Variety. “If just one person declined, we wouldn’t move forward.”
The cast did get together in 2020 for a virtual special during the COVID pandemic, but a formal revival announcement has yet to be made.

Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man 4 has a new release date
Last fall, Marvel Studios and Sony announced that Spider-Man 4 would hit theaters in summer 2026. However, there has been a slight adjustment to the schedule. The original release date was set for July 24, 2026, but it has now been postponed to Friday, July 31, 2026.
No official reason was provided for this change; however, The Hollywood Reporter indicated that the delay offers Spider-Man 4 some additional space from Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which is set to premiere on July 17, 2026. Interestingly, Tom Holland will appear in both films, though the specifics of his role in Nolan's project remain undisclosed. Holland has portrayed Spider-Man in the MCU since Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and has also starred in a highly successful trilogy of Spider-Man films.
Hawkeye co-star Tony Dalton confirms his return for Daredevil: Born Again
Tony Dalton, known for his role as a formidable antagonist in Better Call Saul, took on a much lighter role as Jack Duquesne in the Marvel series Hawkeye. He has now confirmed his return as Jack in Daredevil: Born Again.
Dalton shared an Instagram story via Total Film featuring a picture of himself from Hawkeye alongside an image of Jack Duquesne's comic-book character, The Swordsman, with the logo for Daredevil: Born Again overlaying the images. He simply wrote, “It's on!,” without providing further details. It remains unclear whether Dalton's return pertains to this season or if it’s for the second season that is expected to begin filming soon.
‘Peaky Blinders’ creator anticipates elements of Rey’s ‘Star Wars’ script will be included in the final cut
In a franchise as expansive as Star Wars, it’s not surprising that many projects go through multiple writers. When a spin-off film centered on Daisy Ridley’s Rey was initially announced, Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson were assigned as writers before they exited the project in March 2023, at which point Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was brought on board.
Knight departed the project in October 2024, but prior to his departure, he shared his insights with The Telegraph about the film and the experience of being part of the vast industry surrounding Star Wars.
