5 movies departing from Netflix in February 2025 that you should watch immediately.
Romantic comedies aren't the only films available on Netflix this February. Currently, action and thriller genres are leading the top 10. Titles like *To Catch a Killer*, *Aftermath*, *Don't Let Go*, and *Rambo: Last Blood* are all in the top eight. For those who prefer romance, *Notting Hill*, *La Dolce Vita*, and *Miss Congeniality* are available to watch.
As February comes to a close, several movies will be leaving the platform. Sadly, many of them will move to other streaming services that you might not subscribe to. With the limited time left this month, make it a point to watch one or all of these five films that will soon depart from Netflix. Our recommendations include a thrilling Nolan film, an underrated comedy, and a sci-fi adventure featuring Cruise.
We also provide guides to the best new films to stream, the top movies on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Disney+.
**Sea of Love (1989)**
Universal Pictures
Al Pacino excels at portraying a tough detective. In *Sea of Love*, New York City homicide detective Frank Keller (Al Pacino) spends most of his time consuming alcohol to cope with his depression. His latest investigation involves a murder where the victim was found with a classified ad next to him and the song "Sea of Love" playing in the background.
As more victims surface with similar clues, Frank decides to place ads in the paper to entice the killer into a meeting. Helen Cruger (Ellen Barkin) responds, and a passionate romance ensues. However, complications arise when Frank starts to suspect Helen. Will he overlook the evidence for the sake of love?

**Inception (2010)**
Warner Bros.
Every day brings new updates about Christopher Nolan's *The Odyssey*, which has seen a recent reveal of Matt Damon as Odysseus. Unfortunately for fans of Nolan, this Greek epic won’t premiere until July 2026. In the meantime, revisit some of Nolan's finest works, such as *Inception*. This film introduces audiences to the concept of dream heists.
Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his partner Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) specialize in infiltrating people's subconscious to extract their ideas. Japanese businessman Saito (Ken Watanabe) wants Cobb to achieve the impossible: implant an idea in someone's mind. The target is Robert Fischer (Cillian Murphy), and Saito wishes Cobb to convince him to dissolve his father’s company. Success would clear Cobb’s criminal record. Let the chaos begin.

**The Other Guys (2010)**
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg deliver comedic brilliance in *The Other Guys*, Adam McKay’s severely underrated buddy cop film. Detectives Gamble (Ferrell) and Hoitz (Wahlberg) are overlooked members of the NYPD. Gamble is often stuck behind a desk, while Hoitz once worked in the field until he accidentally shot Derek Jeter. After two star cops die, Gamble and Hoitz see an opportunity to regain their captain's approval.
They begin their ascent to relevance by investigating a scaffolding permit violation connected to British businessman Sir David Ershon (Steve Coogan). What starts as a minor issue spirals into a massive scandal involving wealth, corruption, and fraud. The force wants Gamble and Hoitz to steer clear of the case, but it's time for "the other guys" to save the day.

**Oblivion (2013)**
Universal Pictures
Thank you, Tom Cruise, for your entertaining performances. Be it flying aircraft in *Top Gun: Maverick* or undertaking daring stunts in *Mission: Impossible*, Cruise always puts forth his best effort, especially in action films. One of his lesser-known gems is *Oblivion*, a post-apocalyptic drama directed by Joseph Kosinski, set in 2077. Following a nuclear conflict that made Earth uninhabitable, most humans now reside in a space station preparing to depart for Saturn’s moon in two weeks.
Jack Harper (Cruise) is a technician on Earth tasked with repairing combat drones, accompanied only by his communications officer, Victoria (Andrea Riseborough). They plan to join the colonists after completing their mission. When an object falls from the sky, Jack discovers a woman (Olga Kurylenko) in a pod, resembling someone from his dreams. Is she connected to Jack's past? He must uncover the truth before his grasp on reality disintegrates.
