In approximately two weeks, the Oppo Find N5 is set to debut as the world’s slimmest foldable smartphone. Prior to the impressive launch event, the device has been revealed in its elegant form. While the company has teased hints recently, this marks the first instance of the phone being showcased from various angles in different colors.

The leaked images, shared by Evan Blass (via Substack), depict the Oppo Find N5 in three color options. A striking feature is its slim profile, reportedly measuring just 4.2mm, making it thinner than a pencil and even Apple's record-setting iPad Pro.

The black and white versions showcase a familiar frosted glass finish, but the purple variant stands out with a leather texture reminiscent of the limited edition OnePlus Open from last year. Importantly, the Oppo Find N5 is expected to enter the US market under the OnePlus Open 2 branding.

The overall design is similar to the Oppo Find N3 and its counterpart, the OnePlus Open, with the main distinction being the reduced thickness and several significant internal enhancements outlined below.

The leaked visuals also highlight the camera module. Oppo continues to collaborate with Hasselblad for camera technology, and if the OnePlus 13 is any indicator, we can expect excellent photography capabilities. Upon closer examination, a periscope-style zoom camera can also be seen, which is reassuring.

Beyond its appearance, the Oppo Find N5 boasts noteworthy features underneath its exterior. Starting with the internal flexible display, which is vital for any foldable device, images from a high-ranking executive indicate that the unsightly crease is absent from this upcoming model.

The company has also tackled the important issue of ingress protection, with the new foldable set to feature IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 grade waterproofing, distinguishing itself in the market. Additionally, despite its thin design, Oppo has successfully incorporated a physical profile switch slider.

In terms of specifications, it will be equipped with Qualcomm's top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the same processor found in leading Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Notably, the Oppo Find N5 will support 50W wireless charging, surpassing the Galaxy S25 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max in wired charging scenarios. This device is shaping up to be a major contender in the foldable smartphone market this year, presenting a significant challenge for competitors like Samsung to exceed Oppo’s achievements.
