Sony has ramped up the sound with three new ULT speakers, delivering up to 2,150 watts of power for your upcoming party.

Sony has introduced three new speakers in its ULT Power Sound series, with prices ranging from a $450 portable option to a $1,500 powerhouse designed for large events.

All models will be available for purchase starting this month on Sony’s official site, Amazon, and Best Buy.

**What distinguishes the three new speakers?**

The ULT Tower 5 serves as the entry-level model in the series. At $450, it is the smallest of the trio but still delivers up to 300 watts of output. With a battery life of 20 hours and an IPX4 splash resistance rating, it’s convenient for on-the-go use.

Next is the ULT Tower 7, priced at $650. For an additional $200 compared to the Tower 5, it provides 360-degree sound with up to 420 watts of power, ideal for enjoying movies or streaming shows on a large screen. It maintains the same IPX4 rating, but the battery life extends to 30 hours.

In my opinion, the Tower 7 is the most well-rounded choice for regular hosts, whether indoors or outdoors.

The most powerful speaker in Sony’s ULT lineup is the ULT Tower Max, which retails for $1,500 and fully justifies its price point. Featuring three dedicated woofers and four tweeters, it outputs up to 2,150 watts of power, sufficient for larger living spaces, halls, or outdoor events.

**What else is new in the lineup?**

Sony has made it clear that each model has been fine-tuned with insights from hip-hop sound creators, including Grammy-nominated producer Dot Da Genius and drummer-producer Daru Jones. This means that, in addition to powerful and immersive sound, users can expect enhanced low-end frequencies and clearer vocals.

To achieve this, the company has incorporated a new circular woofer, larger cabinets, and a bass-boosting duct. The Enhanced Sound Field Optimization feature analyzes the room's layout and background noise, automatically adjusting the frequency range for the best sound.

Additionally, Sony has introduced two new profile buttons. ULT 1 and ULT 2 provide varying bass intensity, while the new FLAT and LIVE settings deliver a more authentic sound and a spacious live concert experience, respectively. Other features include karaoke mic support, customizable lighting modes, and the capability to connect multiple ULT speakers together.
