NVIDIA announced a series of updates for GeForce NOW at Gamescom 2026, enhancing graphics customization for subscribers and expanding into new hardware ecosystems, along with a consistent influx of day-one game releases.
Enhanced Cloud Graphics Control
The standout feature for current users is greater control over DLSS 4.5 rendering options. Rather than imposing server-side defaults, Nvidia will offer users the ability to adjust settings for DLSS Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction directly in the cloud stream.
This means gamers can maximize the visual quality of demanding ray-traced or path-traced games precisely to their preferences. Conversely, competitive players seeking ultra-smooth 360 FPS streaming can modify settings to focus on reducing latency and maximizing frame rates.
Broadened Hardware Compatibility
Nvidia has also revealed plans to increase GeForce NOW accessibility across additional devices and platforms. Following its native integration with Steam Deck, GeForce NOW will soon support Steam Machine and the Steam Controller. Living room setups are also expanding, with support extending to more Fire TV devices, including the new Fire TV Stick 4K Select. To simplify the process, Fire TV users will soon be able to purchase memberships directly through their Amazon accounts.
Browser streaming will receive an improvement with official support for Mozilla Firefox, while GOG users will benefit from single sign-on integration, allowing them to sync libraries and launch games with a single click. Nvidia also confirmed a list of day-one titles arriving on GeForce NOW, such as Control Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Star Wars Zero Company.
Nvidia did not provide specific release dates for these updates in its announcement but indicated that more details would be shared in this week’s GFN Thursday blog.

I watched Gamescom 2026 so you don’t have to — these 6 games are worth waiting for
Gamescom 2026 presented a plethora of games. Here are the six that keep lingering in my thoughts.
Gamescom Opening Night Live goes by rapidly, and you might miss significant announcements in an instant. At times, you’re barely finished with one intriguing game when another massive trailer drops immediately after. The 2026 event was especially intense, showcasing everything from well-known franchises to titles I had never heard of before Geoff Keighley introduced them.
Selecting six that stood out was challenging. There’s something for nearly every type of gamer, but some titles remained on my mind even after the livestream concluded. We saw several familiar franchises, while many unveiled new worlds that I would happily immerse myself in for dozens of hours (likely more). Gamescom continues until August 30, so consider this my list of the six reveals that have most impressed me so far, rather than a definitive ranking of everything showcased in Cologne.
