Google Pixel 11 series: Tensor G6, Pixel Glow, updated cameras, and all other information that has been leaked thus far.
Google's upcoming flagship series is still months away, yet leaks are already abundant. With reliable tips, CAD renders, and information uncovered in the Android 17 beta code, we now have a surprisingly comprehensive view of what the Pixel 11 series might entail. This includes insights on the enhanced Tensor G6 chip and its new MediaTek modem, the introduction of a "Pixel Glow" RGB LED in place of the thermometer, as well as new camera sensors across the range.
This serves as your central resource for all leaked, rumored, and reported information regarding the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. We will continue to update it with new details in the lead-up to the launch.
When is the Pixel 11 series expected to be released?
Google has not yet confirmed any specifics, but established patterns are difficult to overlook. The Pixel 9 series was released in August 2024, followed by the Pixel 10 series in August 2025, and all indications suggest an August 2026 launch for the Pixel 11 series. Once announced, the devices may be available for purchase in mid-September.
The Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are anticipated to debut together at a "Made by Google" hardware event. However, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold may release a few weeks later, likely in October 2026, similar to the staggered release of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
What design changes can we expect in the Pixel 11 series?
In terms of aesthetics, the new Pixel series may not undergo significant changes. Google might maintain the same core design for the third consecutive year, with leaked CAD renders from OnLeaks indicating a focus on refinements rather than a complete visual overhaul. The renders suggest that the series will keep flat sides, rounded corners, and the distinct horizontal camera bar.
The most notable adjustment, if the renders are accurate, is that the camera bar will be entirely black across all models instead of matching the device's body color as it has in previous iterations. Additionally, the bezels seem thinner. The base Pixel 11’s dimensions are rumored to be 152.8 x 72 x 8.5mm, which is almost identical to the Pixel 10 but slightly slimmer.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold may experience a more substantial design update. Leaked CAD renders hint at a slimmer profile at 10.1mm when folded and 4.8mm when unfolded, along with a more integrated camera module.
Tensor G6: Google's first 2nm chip
The Tensor G6 could represent the most significant internal upgrade for the Pixel 11 series. According to leaks, the chip will be built on TSMC’s N2 (2nm) node, making it Google’s inaugural 2nm chip and potentially enhancing efficiency and thermal performance compared to earlier generations.
The CPU is expected to feature a unique 7-core setup, comprising 1 ARM C1-Ultra core operating at 4.11GHz, 4 ARM C1-Pro cores at 3.38GHz, and 2 ARM C1-Pro cores at 2.65GHz. It will likely be paired with a PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU, a new Titan M3 security chip, a TPU (codenamed Santafe), and a new GXP image signal processor (codenamed Metis).
One significant anticipated change is the modem. Google is reportedly set to replace Samsung’s Exynos modem, which it has used for years, with MediaTek’s M90 (MT6986D), offering potential enhancements in 5G connectivity and energy efficiency.
Brighter displays across the lineup
The base Pixel 11 is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 1080×2424 resolution, a refresh rate of 60-120Hz, and a peak brightness of 3,100 nits. The PWM dimming is cited at 240Hz, which is lower than some competitors.
The Pixel 11 Pro is said to have a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 1280×2856 resolution, a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, and 240Hz PWM dimming. The Pro XL is expected to match these display specifications but on a larger 6.8-inch OLED with a 1344×2992 resolution.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is rumored to have an inner folding OLED display with a 2076×2160 resolution, a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, plus an outer cover display with a 1080×2342 resolution, a refresh rate of 60-120Hz, and peak brightness of 3,600 nits.
