The Honor 600 series targets the affordable flagship market, featuring Snapdragon performance and a 7,000mAh battery.
The new lineup combines flagship Snapdragon capabilities with a sharp display, a large battery, and a 200MP main camera.
Honor has officially unveiled its latest N-series models, showcasing several significant upgrades compared to the Honor 400 series, which was the previous N-series lineup released outside China. The Pro model in the new Honor 600 series stands out as a noteworthy "accessible flagship," combining a high-end Snapdragon processor with an impressive display and a substantial battery, all at a competitive price.
Flagship features at a budget-friendly price
The new series pushes Honor's N-series further into flagship territory, as both the standard Honor 600 and the upscale Honor 600 Pro come equipped with features typically found in pricier phones. The Honor 600 Pro features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, making it a strong contender for gaming and demanding tasks. The standard model uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, providing a balanced blend of performance and efficiency.
Honor 600 Pro available in Golden White, Orange, and Black
In terms of display, both models are equipped with a 6.57-inch OLED screen that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 8,000 nits, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. Battery life is also a significant highlight, with both devices offering a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging. Additionally, the Pro model features 50W wireless charging, a feature often missing in more affordable flagships.
Honor 600 offered in Orange, Golden White, and Black
The camera capabilities of the Honor 600 series are impressive as well, with both devices featuring a 200MP main camera that has a large 1/1.4-inch sensor. On the Pro model, this is complemented by a 50MP telephoto lens with up to 120x zoom and CIPA 6.5 image stabilization, along with a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP front-facing camera. The standard version includes the same ultrawide and selfie cameras but omits the telephoto lens.
As previously announced, the lineup also introduces the upgraded AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, allowing users to create short videos from still images using natural language prompts. Durability has been enhanced as both models boast an IP69K rating along with improved drop resistance.
Pricing and availability
Honor has launched the 600 series in Malaysia today, with the Pro model priced at RM3,099 (~$784) for the 12GB+256GB variant and RM3,299 (~$835) for the 512GB option. Nothing Warp makes a return, but with some conditions
Nothing Warp is back, but users will need to navigate a few hurdles to utilize it. The company has reinstated its AirDrop-like file sharing feature after briefly removing both the Android app and Chrome extension after its initial launch.
Nothing clarified that the tool's temporary removal was a measure to "fine-tune" the service based on initial user feedback and technical assessments, asserting that this decision was not due to security or privacy issues, as Warp is built on Google's infrastructure and does not manage user data directly.
