Microsoft has launched Copilot Checkout to assist you in shopping and making payments directly within the chat.
Copilot Checkout is being introduced in the US for merchants using Shopify, PayPal, and Stripe.
OpenAI launched an Instant Checkout feature in ChatGPT last year, enabling users to browse and purchase items without leaving the chat. Google quickly followed suit by offering shoppable product listings in its Gemini app, and now Microsoft has revealed a comparable checkout experience for Copilot.
Microsoft states that Copilot Checkout allows users to explore, compare, and purchase products without exiting the chat interface. The company has collaborated with Shopify, PayPal, and Stripe to facilitate this experience and ensures a seamless onboarding process for businesses interested in participating.
The feature is being rolled out in Copilot on the web in the US, with Shopify merchants being automatically enrolled after an opt-out period. Those utilizing PayPal or Stripe for payments will need to apply to become a Copilot Checkout merchant.
Microsoft has confirmed partnerships with several merchants for the launch of Copilot Checkout, including Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Ashley Furniture, and select Etsy sellers. Additionally, participating merchants will maintain their status as the merchant of record for all transactions and will retain control over transaction data, customer data, and customer relationships.
In addition to Copilot Checkout, Microsoft has introduced AI shopping assistants for merchant websites called Brand Agents. These assistants are customized to the merchant’s requirements, providing responses in their brand voice, aiding customers in product discovery and comparison, addressing product inquiries, highlighting checkout links, and suggesting post-purchase recommendations.
Merchants utilizing Brand Agents will gain access to a dedicated dashboard featuring valuable insights such as engagement rates, conversion improvements, average order value, and performance comparisons between sessions assisted by the agent and organic traffic. Brand Agents are being rolled out to Shopify merchants, and interested businesses can sign up for early access by installing Microsoft Clarity on their Shopify store.

Lenovo’s new Yoga laptops provide an innovative solution for those looking to abandon their pen tablets.
The laptops are equipped with a distinctive trackpad that can also serve as a drawing surface.
Lenovo appears to have addressed a significant portability challenge for creatives dependent on drawing tablets. At CES, the company presented a new lineup of Yoga laptops, including two models featuring a trackpad that also acts as a drawing surface.
Rather than a conventional trackpad, the new Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition and Yoga Pro 7i Aura Edition boast what Lenovo terms a Force Pad. This glass surface is designed to function as both a standard trackpad and a compact pen tablet when used with the provided Yoga Pen Gen 2.
Your Zenbook Duo’s reduced hinge gap enhances the dual-screen experience.
The new hideaway hinge aims to create a seamless workspace for the Zenbook Duo, with a minimal 8.28 mm gap for those multitasking across two screens.
Asus is refining the Zenbook Duo’s signature dual-display configuration with a smaller gap between panels at CES 2026. The significant update is the hinge gap for the Zenbook Duo, now specified at 8.28 mm, which should minimize distractions when transferring windows, timelines, and toolbars between the screens.
This is important because dual-screen laptops can be enjoyable until the gap causes visual interruptions. Reducing the gap allows the Duo’s layout to function more like a single expansive canvas, particularly beneficial for split-screen tasks like taking notes on one panel while working on a document or browser on the other.
