      Motorola has recently unveiled a new smartwatch at CES, coinciding with the launch of its inaugural book-style foldable phone and object tracker. Aptly named the Moto Watch, this new wearable from Motorola has been crafted in partnership with Polar, a prominent name in fitness tracking for athletes and professionals.

      What makes it unique?

      The standout feature, of course, is its battery life. Motorola claims that the new smartwatch can last up to 13 days on a single charge. Furthermore, its fast-charging capability provides a full day of usage with just five minutes of charging, which is a welcome relief in a time where many smartwatches struggle to last beyond two days.

      The collaboration with Polar offers additional advantages. For instance, the smart calorie logging system not only tracks energy expenditure during workouts but also monitors daily caloric burn. It gives insights into calorie burn targets during exercise sessions.

      The Activity Score acts as a dashboard for users to review their daily activity metrics and assess exercise intensity, while also prompting movement when extended periods of inactivity are detected. The Moto Watch further delves into sleep health analysis.

      What other features are available?

      Motorola’s newest smartwatch can analyze sleep scores, track recovery levels, and provide a detailed breakdown of light, deep, and REM sleep stages. It also includes a function called Nightly Recharge, which is somewhat akin to the Sleep Score feature on the Apple Watch.

      Motorola describes it as “an overnight recovery measurement indicating how your body has adjusted to stress, allowing for adjustments to meet training objectives.” The Moto Watch is rated IP68 for durability, and it utilizes dual-band GPS for location tracking.

      In terms of specifications, it has a 1.43-inch round OLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Motorola has yet to announce the retail price, but it has stated that the Moto Watch will be available for purchase starting January 22 in a PANTONE Volcanic Ash color through its online store.
