iRU has released 16-inch laptops for the perfect day at the office.

A domestic electronics manufacturer decided that 15.6 inches is no longer enough for office routine. The Tactio laptop line has been expanded with its first 16-inch models, the 16ALB and 16ARB. The main difference of the new models is a screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Hardware for those who don’t play games

The iRU Tactio 16ALB model is equipped with 12th-generation Intel Core i3 and i5 processors, while the iRU Tactio 16ARB is built on the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U. Their performance is more than sufficient to calmly and confidently handle any office applications. The models come by default with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM (expandable to twice that) and SSDs up to 1 TB.

Ports a Swiss Army knife would envy

The developers didn’t skimp on ports, clearly assuming that in some companies’ offices you can still find flash drives, mice and, possibly, even floppy disks. On board there are USB ports of different generations and form factors, HDMI and even a card reader — just in case. The USB Type-C port performs triple duty: it transfers data, video and charges the device. One cable instead of three — now that’s true digitization.

      Security as a top priority

In addition to the standard Kensington lock slot, which will securely tether the laptop to a desk in an open-plan office, there is a camera with a mechanical shutter. For corporate purchases, the laptops can be ordered without a preinstalled OS. Let the IT department feel needed as it installs the system and remembers what it was actually hired for.       According to iRU, the new Tactio models are meant to become unobtrusive but reliable workhorses that will standardize a company’s equipment fleet. A large screen, predictable “innards,” a battery that lasts a day and no frills.
