Amazon has officially announced the launch date for its latest premium e-readers. The updated Kindle Scribe (2025) and the exciting new Kindle Scribe Colorsoft will be available for purchase starting December 10.
Although they showcased these devices back in September, the release date remained a mystery until now. Notably, there will be no preorders; if you're interested in buying one, you'll need to log on next week to make your purchase directly.
This marks the third generation of the “write-on” Kindle. The new standard Scribe features an 11-inch display (up from 10.2 inches), a slimmer profile, and is powered by a faster quad-core processor.
The front-light version is priced at $499.99 and will be released on December 10.
A less expensive model without front lighting will cost $429.99 but will not ship until early next year.
The premium Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is priced at $629.99 and introduces color note-taking to the platform for the first time.
