Feeling too lazy to take a shower? This human washing machine can cleanse your body in just 15 minutes.
Daily bathing experience reminiscent of a spa within a futuristic pod
What’s going on? If you've ever hoped that your shower could do the hard work for you, a Japanese company has finally made that wish a reality with a new gadget. This human washing machine, now officially available for purchase, offers a complete body wash while you simply relax and let the device indulge you.
It features a hands-free wash cycle that automatically cleans and rinses in just 15 minutes.
There’s also a built-in music and video system to transform bath time into a mini-spa experience.
The company Science has set the price at 60 million Yen, which is approximately $385,000.
Why this matters: At first appearance, the human washing machine resembles a high-tech relaxation pod. You can enter the capsule, select your washing mode, and close the lid. Inside, ultrasonic bubbles help break down dirt on your skin by penetrating pores to eliminate sebum and dead skin cells.
According to The Chosun Daily, it includes sensors to monitor the user’s health status. Measuring 2.5 meters long, 1 meter wide, and 2.6 meters tall, the pod provides ample space for most individuals to lie down comfortably. It is designed to replicate a personal spa experience without the need for scrubbing, rinsing, or shampooing by yourself. The creators say it was inspired by the original Sanyo human washing machine developed in the 1970s but has been reimagined with modern technology, AI sensors, and a focus on comfort.
What comes next? Production of the Mirai Human Washing Machine will be limited to 40 to 50 units to maintain its exclusivity and brand value. It won't be available for residential use. Instead, the company aims to market it to luxury venues such as hotels, bathhouses, hot springs, and recreational facilities seeking to provide something unique and upscale. However, Science has also noted that if the technology advances and mass production becomes viable, a more affordable home version may be created in the future.

Uber is ready to take you right into ski season.
Reserve a ride, gear up, and let someone else navigate the mountain roads.
What’s new? With winter approaching, Uber has initiated a specialized service called Uber Ski to simplify transportation to mountain resorts for skiers and snowboarders. This new offering allows users to book larger vehicles in advance and even purchase lift-pass bundles in partnership with Epic Pass operator Vail Resorts. In contrast to the European Uber Ski launch earlier this year, which mainly focused on transport accommodating gear between airports, train stations, and nearby slopes, the North American launch goes a step further. It combines rides with lift-pass purchases, creating a complete ski-trip package tailored for U.S. and Canadian resorts.
Available vehicle options include Uber XL (which accommodates two passengers with gear) and Uber XXL (which can fit four with equipment), and reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.

ChatGPT now addresses the em-dash issue, as punctuation is important.
A minor adjustment that could greatly impact how human-like AI writing appears.
What’s changed? One of the major issues with ChatGPT has been resolved. Sam Altman announced via an X post that ChatGPT will now adhere to user instructions not to use em-dashes when specified in the custom instructions tab. By adding a rule in the custom instructions to exclude em-dashes, users can now effectively prevent ChatGPT from using them.
This update responds to a long-standing complaint that ChatGPT's frequent use of the em-dash made its writing seem "bot-generated."
