Emotions from a laptop at your fingertips

      Before the launch of the new HONOR MagicBook Art 14 laptop, the manufacturer wondered what emotions are actually evoked by the objects we touch every day.

      Warm wood, coarse metal, delicate silk — each has its own character. So company representatives decided to conduct an experiment to find out what feelings are born from touches and which ones the new HONOR would evoke.

      The study involved blogger Ksenia Prokhorova and neuropsychologist Alena Vanchenko. Using special sensors, they recorded reactions to different materials to understand how tactile sensations influence our perception.

      Alena Vanchenko explained that emotions from touch create a deep, intuitive bond with an object. This affects not only our immediate mood but also how, in the long term, our sense of comfort and satisfaction is formed.       Ksenia shared her impressions of the experiment. She noted how unexpected it was to focus on the simple sensation of holding an object in one’s hands. Who would have thought that touching velour, wood, or even a stress ball could evoke such different emotions. It turned out that a laptop is capable not only of impressing with its technical specifications but also of evoking certain feelings.

      The new HONOR MagicBook Art 14 is an example of how modern technology meets emotional design. Weighing just 1 kilogram and measuring 1 centimeter thick, it easily becomes part of everyday life. The device is equipped with an anti-glare 3.1K touchscreen OLED display with a high peak brightness of 1600 nits. And thanks to the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, the laptop handles a wide range of tasks while remaining a stylish accessory.
