iRU unveiled a new server model at Kazan Digital Week.
At the international forum Kazan Digital Week, Russian computer hardware manufacturer iRU presented a new high-performance computing server — the Rock G2212IG6 model.
This system is intended for corporate infrastructures where the priority is the speed of processing large volumes of data.
The new server is designed to address a wide range of tasks: from virtualization and complex analytics to artificial intelligence and machine learning. It will serve as a versatile solution for telecommunications companies, research centers, and large organizations using scalable cloud environments.
The server is built around two latest Intel Xeon 6th‑generation processors. The model supports up to 8 TB of DDR5 RAM, providing high performance when running resource‑intensive applications. Its versatility is enhanced by a 2U form factor, allowing easy installation in standard server racks in both corporate and carrier data centers.
The manufacturer paid special attention to the storage subsystem. The device supports installation of up to twelve drives of various types and formats, including high‑speed NVMe, making it suitable for both transactional and analytical platforms. For further expandability it provides PCIe Gen5 slots and two OCP 3.0 connectors, as well as support for two full‑length GPU accelerators for AI tasks.
The system is designed with strict fault‑tolerance requirements in mind. The server uses redundant, hot‑swappable 1600 W power supplies, and to minimize downtime it supports drive replacement without shutting down. Remote management is handled via an ASPEED AST2600 BMC controller.
Importantly, production of the iRU Rock G2212IG6 servers takes place at the company's own factory in Russia. This not only allows configurations to be tailored to customers' individual needs but also significantly reduces lead times for delivering finished solutions.
Comprehensive service support is available to customers, including 24/7 maintenance and the option to extend the warranty. Extended options are available for corporate clients: an engineer onsite within 24 hours, component delivery and installation, and remote diagnostics. iRU's service network covers more than 100 cities across Russia, ensuring reliable support throughout the equipment's lifecycle.
