Record battery and external cooling in a smartphone

On the day of its 7th anniversary, realme unveiled two developments: a 15,000 mAh battery with a smartphone-record energy density of 1200 Wh/L based on a silicon anode, and the realme Chill Fan Phone smartphone.

In recent years, batteries have become the driving force behind the development of many industries, such as garden equipment, electric vehicles and other equipment. According to realme, the new battery allows for compact dimensions while offering high capacity and provides up to four days of use without recharging, up to 18 hours of video recording and up to 53 hours of video playback.

Regarding the realme Chill Fan Phone, the company claims it is the world’s first smartphone with an integrated TEC, previously used in external systems: such a design, according to the manufacturer, reduces the processor temperature by 6°C under heavy load and enables running more than 20 popular games, including Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact, at high frame rates without noticeable throttling. Realme links these solutions to growing demands for battery life and stable performance in “always online” scenarios and mobile gaming; independent confirmations of the claimed specifications were not provided at the time of the unveiling.
